No more info :(

*random* I do worry that the SB is setting a trap for Liara and Shepard.

does it matter? shep and liara are still going to kick his ass

Of course, the SB's plan will fail horribly.

I was just thinking that the reason the SB hasn't attacked/killed Liara yet is due to plans to trap and capture Shepard.

Any one else hoping that the screen shot of Shep standing behind :wub:Liara:wub: leads into a nice big huggle?

Or is it just me?

Nope!

Tali received a Paragon interrupt hug, now it's Liara's turn.

A re-use of one of my favorite me1 Tali lines might be appropriate...

Liara so needs to slap a singularity on Miranda's ass for the way she spoke to her in Redemption -

I'll give you "...put your bumpy heads together..."!

If my femshep knew about that there's no way she'd try to be nice to her!

Wow, Mass Effect 2 was just lowered in price AGAIN on Steam, now to $29.99.  It doesn't even say this is a limited time offer.

store.steampowered.com/

Could this be a prelude to something?  An announcement perhaps?

And I just bought it on steam for $40 2 days ago!

Buying undiscounted stuff on Steam? Why would anyone do that?

On a related note, both version of the game are some 15 GBP (about 25 USD) in UK shops.

I've gotta say, my expectations of this DLC are going up and down...  Usually down whenever I tell myself that if my expectations are too high, I'll only be disappointed.  But hopefully Liara will get some good time in the spotlight that will make up for (IMHO) the terrible writing of her character so far in ME2.

So you're a Miranda fan.  That's great.  But there's no need to attack Liara to make Miranda somehow look better.  Let me refute your claims anyway.

Miranda's biotics are so advanced that she can't keep the seeker swarm away from the team during the suicide mission...  But asari adept-with-assault-rifle Samara can.  Which kinda implies that Liara could too.  (Only Samara and Jack, the two full biotic squad members, could manage it.  And Liara is ME1's full biotic squad member.)

Highly trained tech skills?  She can use Overload.  So can Liara.

I don't know where you're getting this "perfect marksmanship" deal.  She occasionally has cutscene power, but anyone can have this (witness Jack pounding four IMIR mechs - can she do that outside of a cutscene?).  Otherwise, her gun skills are minimal.

And as for the high heels, I think they are a liabilitiy in combat and wish she would wear some proper armour...  Like Liara.

Yet, she can't even hold the bubble.

We probably won't get anything new until next week. When Overlord was announced, we had 3 screenshots only for a while. Later on we got more information, and I think the trailer was released on the release date.

I will say I like Miranda as a "second-in-command type" but as far as a biotic goes, Liara is far better. Still, it'd be nice to help her take down the Shadow Broker; I can't wait for this to come out.

I'm not picking sides on this one, but both Samara and Jack were super biotics. There's no indication that Liara could do the same, just because she's a biotic (plus she's only 108, which is still very young for asari).

So BioWare....it's been like a week now. Feel free to say anything at all. Or is it your new business model to announce something, then wait until nobody cares anymore to announce the release date?

I think its safe to say that we haven't reached that point yet. You want to see that kind of mistake in action, have a look on the Atari forums regarding the NWN2 expansion, Mysteries of Westgate.
