1. Liara's BEEN back. Illium says hi.
2. She's an ME1 romance, not ME2 romance.

Ok, another theory a-go-go....


Some-one else already mentioned this idea breifly, but i've slept since then, so apologies for the non-credit.
My theory actually expands on the idea that the shadow broker could be prothean - remember when talking to vigil on Ilos? He tells you that some of the prothean scientists escaped through the conduit back onto the Citadel.

What if those scientists did manage to survive/escape the empty Citadel and set up an information network in order to help out the "new" races - by feeding them information perhaps hoping it would help to make them stronger by equalising the political field so-to-speak?

They might have even leaked information to certain species which could have led to prothean technology finds, thus advancing their civilisation to the point where they would be ready to fight the reapers once they made their reappearance?

I realise this makes it incredibly odd that they would then try to sell Shep to the collectors - they certainly would not want the reapers getting their mechanical mitts on the galaxy's greatest hope for survival.
It is probable of course that the protheans leading the network died out long ago, and the new management has lost sight of the original goal - or never knew it to begin with and is now purely for profit.

So, yeah, that's what I think.

Also perhaps :wub:Liara:wub: has not been killed yet because the shadow broker is maybe amused what she did in revelation - most people are so scared of SB that they would never dare do what she did - it might simply be a case of :wub:Liara:wub: relieving the boredom so SB wants to watch her to see what she'd do next?

And I think either the bartender on Illium or Aria could be :wub:Liara's:wub: dad

 I got the feeling that, since Liara is a very good information broker herself, it was much more useful for SB to leave her alive and have an agent that could tap into all the information she had. Guess they didn't count on Shepard solving the puzzle so quickly... Never underestimate Shepard 

Really really doubt SB is a Prothean though. Even a Prothean VI/AI is very unlikely.

I just want to know if this is pre or post completion as my main Shepard has been waiting at the Galaxy map for a while now. Yeah he could go help Tali but it would be boring without Legion.

Indeed. Why need Shepard or Liara when you got a ****load of ME fans outside of SB's front door waiting for Bioware to give permission to knock?
