Don't know how accurate it will be with the upcoming SB DLC, I hope it's not.
Boy I wish I hadn't seen/heard that audio, depressing.

Just because those files exist doesn't mean that they are still going to be happens in the DLC. The devs could have changed their minds or the story.
I'm probably wrong though

Although they could both also be reason for him being the SB as well but I doubt the SB is human because it's been around for too long.

Highly unlikely that they'd change it. Although it could be just one possible outcome.

It is depressing, but most hope that this really is cut audio that was planned originally for ME2 and not for this DLC.

You wrong.
Bioware did confirm long time ago that those files re plain placeholders <as were Kasimi audio files> for incoming future <at that time> Liara DLC because there were rised up accusations that bioware resell cut in game content as DLC instead of deliver this content in full version.
I heard once at other forum that plain English version of the game have abourt 2.5 GB and rest from this gigantic size (almost 18GB) are localization files... so IF this is true then ME 2 could easy fit at ONE dvd.
I seriously miss old days where devs delivered full fleshed expansions (sometimes on two discs) improving already fantastic game... instead of butchering original game and reselling her content as DLCs...
Too bad that Bioware didn't have same courage as Firaxis to hire amateur modders (Civ V is made by Civ fan modders under Firaxis and Sid's supervision) to help main developing team to create really great game...

Jacob known as much as he should to known... and fact that Banes could be revived via lazarus could be commenced before he was assigned to Lazarus station and beside... it's very possible that team who revived Banes could have "fatal accident" or even serve as test subject for one of the Tresher Maw experiments.
Key is, no witnesses left and Miranda, Jacob and whole Lazarus team have no idea what's hppened before (or maybe Miranda did known but at that moment she was 100% loyal and too smart to known that sometimes curiosity CAN kill a cat).

Yeah, its a shame when devs do this, i hate to have a game in cuted pieces.
But you would be surprise to know how many games get release without everything they plained to because they wouldn't meet dead line or go month beyond it.
That why some games got "director cut" or "gold" version with some extra content.
Now, with DLC, devs can drop some part but not letting go to waste (like most of game that didn't get a director cut version).
It's realy a shame and a frustrated feeling to take out characters, objet, level and throw it to the trash because you can't get the 4 / 8 month to build/fix everything you worked on since month and years.
So, from my point of view (player and dev both), if Bioware didn't add them like planed because they coudln't go too much beyond the dead line, i don't minde paying them some extra cash because those DLC need some new budget to be finished (if the intrest and playing time are honest).
But if they cuted it intentionnaly i wouldn't mind spiting at their face

Any chance you can find proof to back up any of that? Aside from the fact that each localized version is ONLY that language(otherwise there would be a way to switch the localization and the eastern European countries copies wouldn't have any issues.Asheer_Khan wrote...

Aside from that, they confirmed that they put those files in when the concept was in it's early scripting stages so that when the final DLC(meaning it wasn't cut) was released it wouldn't be a gigabyte plus of data.
"Expansion Packs" only work when they have a distinct linear story. The DLC method allows them a lot more creative freedom so they can make multiple smaller stories to wrap up loose ends instead of one big story that normally touches entirely new ground.(ala Awakening/Shivering Isles)
Bioware not bringing in independent modders for their RPG is entirely different from an RTS... In an RTS all they are working on is the maps, with an RPG they are dealing with the story elements, aside from the simple fact that Bioware doing it's own work is nothing bad, they like to keep it in house. The fact that they hire new people through standard resumes isn't something to look down on. They, like many development houses also go to end of year shows at game design colleges like Digipen to look for fresh new talents.

Trust me, on NWN Vault are many mods made by amaterur modders for both NWN and NWN 2 (and both are RPG games) which would really ashamed professional Bioware story writers...
Problem is that ME games are PERMA LOCKED from any kind of modding except text mods so here Biware/EA wallets are safe.
On the other hand fact that ME games are so heavy VO'ed would made creatopn of full fleshed mods rather difficult because people now would very hard akcept more or less but muted mods... unless some modders would be able to hire Jeniffer Hale or Ali Hills or any other actor from ME games to VOed thier mods.

Note, you only confront one of my points. I also never claimed that their fans couldn't make good content, I said that there's nothing wrong with working in house. Aside from the fact that no one outside of Bioware has ever worked with their in house toolset for ME2, and that anything they produced within the normal 2 year production period would be at the same standards of excellence that Bioware works at.Asheer_Khan wrote...
