I would imagine that they would only announce something once it's mostly completed, and they're just testing and polishing it before release. I kinda doubt they made Overlord in a month from scratch.

Otherwise it will be at least two more weeks before we can even hope to see LotSB released...

Oh of course, I know that. What I am suggesting, though, is that BW have increased the duration between the announcement of the Liara DLC and it's actual release for marketing purposes, and to build hype as much as possible. Again, the desire to exploit any hype for the DLC indicates that it is alot more substantial and deeper than Overlord or Kasumi, which is obviously what most of us are hoping for.

I actually believe that alot of the Liara DLC may have been developed concurrently with the rest of ME2, or the development at least began when ME2 was still in production. It is extremely likely that ever since ME2's release the development staff have been working of this DLC, to ensure that Liara's content and her current story arc with the Shadow Broker is as polished, substantial, expansive and deep as possible, with extensive character development that will do her character justice. Yes, I am extremely hopeful with regards to this DLC!

Banes IS alive...

If you pay attention on words spoken by that Krogan during second side quest for Dr Mitchel (meds delivery) he says pretty clear to Forlan "I told Banes that you screw this out"...
So can someone explain me how that Krogan could talk with dead guy (taking aside necromancy stuff of course)?

And guys for the keepers sake.... keep Liara and her family OUT of this "Who is the Shadow Broker" IDIOCY...

However there are hints that SB might have some ties with Asari in general.
Basing on that "spoilerish" audio files which so many here treat almost as canon for what will happened in DLC, Nyxeris was one of the highest figures in SB network and that's why she was assigned to observing Liara and very possibly eliminate her if SB decided that Liara's actions become too dangerous for "him".

Let's not forget that Asari are one of the oldest Citadel civilizations so it's possible that one of them decided to start this trade information business and in course of the centuries she created powerful information empire.

Despite lack of the evidence i wouldn't scratch Consort from list of potential "candidates" to SB identity but one thing IS sure.
Shadow Broker IS NOT a human since everyone pointed that SB existed far longer than human presence on Citadel.

So it's obvious that neither Timmy OR Miranda's dad OR even Udina is the Shadow Broker.

I agree with that. Some of the crew members, like Samara, Jack, Zaeed, Kasumi, etc are free to leave Commander Shepard, since the suicide mission is over.

Technically, pretty much everyone except Miranda and Jacob is free to leave, if you think about it. The question is whether they will. I'm thinking Garrus might stay, Kasumi says she plans to stay off the grid if you let her keep the graybox, Jack doesn't exactly have a place to go, Legion might stay to help fight Reapers as well as to better understand organics... Mordin may or may not stay...

Grunt and Zaeed will most likely leave, but they live in cargo bays... Tali doesn't even have her own quarters as such, and I can't imagine Liara meditating in the middle of the observation room (which is technically a crew lounge)...

Shepard is Grunts battle master.......He goes where ever Shepard goes.

Why would he not fallow his battlemaster who already shown him that fallowing him ensures the chance of fighting great battles?

I can't really argue with that based on what info we have now, but something tells me he isn't going to be a squad member in ME3.

Guys, we already have a stickied thread discussing this over in the spoiler forum. Lets not get this off topic.

Banes is not the Shadow Broker people. Banes is The Illusive Man. Think about it. The story is rather clear when you consider all of the quest line involving him.

Even if he is, he's definitely not the Banes who was blackmailing Dr. Michelle. That would be extremely cheap of him...

No, sir, there haven't been any updates. I'm unsure what Leoism was referring to. :innocent:

Grunt is needed back on Tuchanka. The Shaman's e-mail basically spells out that Grunt is leaving in ME3. I think that's one of the Choices/Consequences. If Grunt dies in the final mission, then Wrex and Grunt don't rule the Krogans together.

Be quite neat to see Grunt say "screw you, Shaman" on Tuchanka, if he would follow Shepard again.

He never really liked the place, anyway.

But Lair of the Shadow Broker seems interesting to me. I think Bioware dismissed that there's gonna be extra new squadmates, but Liara isn't a new squadmate. She's an old one. So Bioware may have done a Turian Council Member. Pretty sure you know the quote, heh.

I've been wondering and there are two things I would like to see in this DLC:

It to be established that Wilson was associated with SB, one of his/her/their agents or something. I hate loose ends, and have no clear indication of who he was working for and his plan.

Give us the Onyx style armour Shep wears on the first Normandy before it blows up. I have wanted this since the game came out, one piece suit or not. It does make some sense for you to find it in a SB base.

I talked about the original N7 suit in the armour DLC topic, so if it comes with this, I'd be extremely happy to see it.

You bring a good point about Wilson, though. Being voiced by Steve Blum got me suspicious (Gene and Gálvéz in Metal Gear) - which paid off, I guess - but we still don't know what happened to him. I can hazard a guess that Cerberus suppressed the information, but there's nothing to back that up with.

If he's been hired by the Shadow Broker or something, it'd give light to what happened to him, why the betrayal, etcetera.

They'll probably release it after or before the DA2 Announcement Trailer. In which case, BioWare has given me two birthday presents.

So, when is the DA2 reveal trailer?
