Banes IS alive...

If you pay attention on words spoken by that Krogan during second side quest for Dr Mitchel (meds delivery) he says pretty clear to Forlan "I told Banes that you screw this out"...
So can someone explain me how that Krogan could talk with dead guy (taking aside necromancy stuff of course)?

That's fairly simple. It wouldn't exactly be a major switch to find out that whoever the blackmailer was, he'd just assumed a dead man's identity for use as a cover. We have plenty of people today who take over identies for that very reason without any need of necromancy.

However there are hints that SB might have some ties with Asari in general.
Basing on that "spoilerish" audio files which so many here treat almost as canon for what will happened in DLC, Nyxeris was one of the highest figures in SB network and that's why she was assigned to observing Liara and very possibly eliminate her if SB decided that Liara's actions become too dangerous for "him".

Let's not forget that Asari are one of the oldest Citadel civilizations so it's possible that one of them decided to start this trade information business and in course of the centuries she created powerful information empire.

Despite lack of the evidence i wouldn't scratch Consort from list of potential "candidates" to SB identity but one thing IS sure.
Shadow Broker IS NOT a human since everyone pointed that SB existed far longer than human presence on Citadel.

So it's obvious that neither Timmy OR Miranda's dad OR even Udina is the Shadow Broker.

It wouldn't really surprise me if it actually was an Asari. They have the combination of age, intelligence and culture to turn out a spider-in-the-web like the Shadow Broker.

Why are people considering cut dialogue to be "canon"?

I hope that this DLC is affected by your decisions regarding the Observer, as well as Hades' Dogs...

And I have my own little theory about the Shadow Broker's identity. I think it would make a lot of sense if he turned out to be the thirteenth member of the League of One...

Well, think about it. His espionage training would explain how he's been able to keep himself hidden for all these years, and his being a salarian would explain how he's able to manage his organization by himself...not to mention the fact the galaxy believes he's dead.

SB's been around too long to be a salarian. they only live to about 45-50 remember?

Unless it is a "Dread Pirate Roberts" deal. It's the name "Shadowbroker" that sells it and he passes on the name to his apprentice when he dies, or retires.

Mordin is going to make it to 60, holy crap. He said ingame that this was his last decade.

Because people don't know what canon means. They just take the general idea and butcher it. Same with "sequel" and "opinion".

There's going to be the option to kill her. There must be.

She's the only squadmate in both games that in theory can not die.

So there must be the option. It just has to happen.

And the Shadow Broker doesn't have to be one person. It could be a group. All the spoilers are pointing towards one person but it may be a surprise even for Liara.

Therefore, it could include humans because it can be passed on through generations. And the first one might have existed before humans found out about Mass Relays, but one or two could have joined.

By that logic, it's possible for SB to be human.

I'd say its possible that the Shadowbroker is Geth. It'd be the type of cliche you'd expect to see, that or an AI. Geth after all have strong information networks, and work through agents quickly. And the Geth see themselves as one. And legion dropped that hint that they actually release information to mess with humans.

No, the entire reason she wasn't a squadmate in ME2 was because Bioware wanted to make sure she survived for ME3.

I just hope he's not some rehashed geth/asari/whatever. and something new. I am so tired of fighting geth and mercs, even if they have different textures.I still feel like its going to be something I facepalm over, kinda like the geth in overlord.

Liara won't be killable in the DLC, as Casey Hudson clearly stated that she was kept off the Suicide Mission team in ME2 to prevent her death in ME2 so she could be saved for ME3.

Now, she may be killable in ME3...who knows.
