Well I guess big Liara fan -- like me :) -- should maybe be looking at this another way.

Perhaps its a good thing Liara wont join your squad.

a) She doesn't join your squad so she'll be in ME3

B) If BioWare is protecting her that much.. it must be because she plays a big role in ME3.. maybe more than just a squad mate and LI but she must have an impact with the story as to where ME3 would'nt work if she was dead.

Same with Ash/Kaiden

:) Makes me feel better

Well, if the DLC is post-suicide mission, I wouldn't mind if she joins.  If it can be donew pre-suicide mission, then I definitely do not want her to join.

I doubt they would put sound clips giving away Liara's LotSB end fate on the ME2 disk where it can be so easily found by most PC users.

Only time will tell I suppose.  Call it a gut feeling though (and my gut feelings arent "usually" wrong) but Liara may actually be on the Normandy after the DLC (at best) but most certainly not a "playable" member of the squad.  As much as alot of players would like it to be otherwise, I just dont see it happening.  I for one am hoping that she isnt simply because it will make all of my "bloodbath" files pretty pointless.

How about this guys - even if she came on the ship, its doubtful she would be a squad member, just some 'window dressing'. So, if the DLC is pre-SM, why not just make her an unkillable crew member (like a certain other person I shall not mention, just in case ;) ).

That way it guarantees her survival, no matter how long you wait before you jump through the Omega-4 relay

If you're referring to Miranda, she can indeed die....In my bloodbath runs only Kasumi and Zaeed are alive Posted Image

Has there been any indication that the DLC won't be post-suicide mission?  I saw some interviews after Overlord came out which seemed to indicate they were shifting to stuff that takes place between ME2 and ME3.

@Slakky - I think this is the last pre-suicide mission DLC from what I heard. Somwhere I read an article saying that after the Liara DLC Bioware's shifting to post story content, and we won't be getting the amount of frequent DLC we've been seeing.

About 1:55 mark Hudson does infer that per-suicide missions will
continue after Overlord, but he was not specific on how many missions
that would be.  My guess (and it's just a guess) is that LotSB will be
the last pre-suicide mission.  Then again he implied that everyone LOVED planet mining.  :?

Joker is the one and only Sr-2 member who absolutely cannot die under any circumstances. Chakwas can bite the bullet if you're evil and send the surviving crew back unescorted.

Liara would be fairly lonely if she were on the Normandy under those circumstances lol. I think if she were to come aboard after the Shadow Broker stuff it'd have to be post-SM

I lol'd when Casey said "We didnt expect people to actually mine the whole galaxy...." To which I kinda laughed myself and said "People do that?" Seriously, I guess Im one of the folks who did the planet mining the way they "envisioned" it....Get only what you need for your current class/build/whatever and move on. Mining was still pretty boring though until they added the new patch. Now what used to take me 2hrs of scanning to do, takes me about 20-30 mins tops which makes it "not so bad" now.

Haha, no not at all. But it is very addicting. At first it was too slow, but the patch apparently fixed that, and so did the mineral scanning upgrade. It's fun to send those little probes in. :D

Something to consider re: release date, BW has the Dragon Age 2 trailer dropping on Aug. 18, so they'll likely look to avoid stepping on its toes with anything ME2-related until after, no?

it's great to see quality DLC forthcoming. I only hope it's longer than Overlord.

Bioware claims it's longer than Overlord and contains something we've never seen before.

Yeah, we get to see ME2 Liara out of her office.

That alone is worth it.

If you're referring to Chakwas, she can die if you don't send anyone to escort the survivors.

What did the patch change exactly? I never noticed any difference whatsoever... :?

i am wondering sinc in the audio files you get the info on location of the SB from TIM/Cerberus

what would happen if it is post SM and you did destroy the collector base and p***off TIM /made him an enemy at least that's what jacob calls it when you talk to him after the sm

will you still receive the SB location from cerberus? since that would be weird effectively he would provide the enemy with intel (that's how i understand it)

ideas anyone?
