You know what? It's true... what if Liara was like Dr Chakwas? If the DLC is before suicide mission, make Liara get taken by the Collectors  and then you save her.. like Dr Chakwas, if your crew dies, Liara and the Dr will still be alive. It could work... Liara could still be on the Normandy and not a "squad mate" Unlikely but a thought

I believe Chakwas can still die if you don't send anyone to escort the crew. Though if Liara was with them, any escort would be redundant...

That can be fixed. You wont need to send an escort, you could if you want but if it's just Liara and Chakwas... you wouldn't need to send an escort.. if you don't send an escort Liara can handle it and Liara & Chakwas would make it automaticly... they can easily make that possible.

What's weird is that no matter how you receive the mission it's going to do something funky to the game. If we get the mission from the get go from Cerberus, the way all DLC has been handled up to this point, then BW is going to have to make it so that Liara's has new dialog later on when you see her later on Ilium. Otherwise Liara will be talking about taking down the SB that you both just took down. (You have to go to Liara to find Thane and Samara, so the scene cannot be avoided). On the other hand if Liara gives you the mission, then it would have to trigger some time after you first meet her, lest you again run the risk of another paradoxical plot point, Liara wanting revenge on an enemy she has already (presumably) slain. Of course one could "assume" BW wouldn't care about game continuity just w/ all the other DLC and let it go as is. I have a feeling that for this one, they will care. It would probably be easier to trigger a mission later in the game than to change what is already in the game. I guess we will see at some point. Here's to hoping we get some word on this dlc soon. Anyway, just thinking out loud.

EDIT: Unless this is a post suicide mission dlc.  By far that would be the easiset way to go, but evidence points to this being pre suicide mission.

EDIT 2:

At the 1:50 mark Hudson says that there will be more pre SM dlc after Overlord.

They have the source files for the game, and they can just as easily adjust the files needed for the conversations.

So what about the rest of us that didn't sleep with that Angela Landbury looking blue freak? Do we get an Ashley DLC?

Youre face is a freak and one more thing Ash didnt do jack %^&$ , Liara made Mass Effect 2 possible so atleast show some respect

3 things:

A.) The personal attack was uneccesary...All he did was insult a DIGITAL character and you got up in arms over it. No sense in taking an insult to a ficticious character personally.

B.) I do agree with you, (Although I sitll hate Liara) that Ashley hasnt done squat in terms of forwarding the plot of anything other than ****** and moan about her family name. (Im not a big fan of Ash either lol.) Where as Liara has and if it were not for her, Shep wouldnt have been around for the second game.

C.) If you ARE going to insult someone, come up with something better than "Your face is a freak..." seriously, you can't even take an insult like that without actually laughing about it. Posted Image

Im bored and if I wanted to insult someone I would Posted Image I happen to have a very rich and colourful dictionary and seccond he wasnt insulting a digital character he was insulting a piece of art  just think how many times shes been called a freak for being a pureblood asari

Maybe Liara is not a crew member but just another mission follower aside from your chosen companios. It's easy: you meet with her there, do your business and part ways. From the screenshots I do not believe she is another choice for companion in me2, but rather what I have just said.

I see...it could still be something else after LotSB.

Who knows, BioWare is keeping this close to their chest.  But it would make sense for it to be post SM. It seems that way but who knows

I don't really see the problem
In the game not every missions is immediately available. Many of them trigger only after you did some things, or you reached a determined point.. The Mission on Horizon doesn't trigger if you didn't recruit before your first companions, and the Mission on the Collector's Ship isn't available until you complete a settled number of missions.
This DLC will be probably integrated in the same way.. If you start a new campaign it won't probably trigger until you visited Illium and complete the quests for Liara.... it's so easy Posted Image

Yes.. The DLC would be a little...pointless without the dialogues you trigger with Liara when you complete them
Anyway, what's wrong with them? They're so easy..
Someone could not like it because they provide renegade points, but who cares? I am a full paragon, but for Liara some renegade points are worth it Posted Image

The 'only' reason Liara is around is to thicken the plot when you meet SB.  There you find out that SB is Aria.  And Liara finds out Aria is her Dad.  Just think of the plot twist in that!!  Just my opinion of course, don't go spreadin' it around.  B)

From the sound files of the upcoming DLC that are already on the game disc we know that the Shadow Broker is male.....that means that he can't be an Asari and he can't be an AI.

Same, I want to find out the price-I need to know how many points to buy to afford both Firepower pack and this DLC, but I really want to try out the new weapons on my ME1 soldier that's nearly ready for import:?

Hopefully there'll also be a trailer like with Kasumi soon.

Also, more proof SB can't be barla von

I don't see why people are taking the sound clips as absolute truth. Its very easy Bioware won't use any of that in the DLC.

I was reluctant to believe they'd cast aside the audio, but given all of these cut audio files that guy over in the spoiler forum is uncovering, I wouldn't be surprised. So theres a 50/50 chance that it won't be in the DLC.
