That's what I'm thinking too. I'm curious to see the reason Bioware develops that explains why Liara won't being joining the crew despite her problem being dealt with.

It was because they didn't want her to be one of the possible deaths in Mass 2. They wanted to make sure she made it to Mass 3. Along with the other optional LI's.

The 'only' reason Liara is around is to thicken the plot when you meet SB.  There you find out the SB is Aria.  And Liara finds out Aria is her Dad.  Just think of the plot twist in that!!  Just my opinion of course, don't go spreadin' it around. 

From the sound files of the upcoming DLC that are already on the game disc we know that the Shadow Broker is male.....that means that he can't be an Asari and he can't be an AI.

As you know, Asari are both.  Aria being her Dad makes Aria male.

Me and Polite or just getting are hopes up You know its Tuesday (in 30 mins) every DLC comes out on Tuesday... they announced this almost 3 weeks ago.. you know were this is going.

In all honesty, we still don't know the Shadow Broker really is a 'he'....I know Capt. Anderson used that pronoun in ME1, and Liara in ME2, but it may be that they were just using the default pronoun. Plus, they might be trying to trick you into thinking it is a 'he' when it is not...who knows?



No one can say with 100% certainty that the Shadow Broker is male.

Actualy that is not true... they are mono-gendered not female. If you listen to Liara in ME1 when she talks about the Asari, she says they are mono-gendered.. she says female and male mean nothing to them. They aren't female, they aren't male.. they're just Asari.. Asari being an "all female race" is just what the Codex guy said because human are used to the idea that anything with breasts is female... in most cases

Ok. I haven't read any of the books.  So how does "agent was female" refer to SB?  And I don't recall a gender ever mentioned as to the SB.

My source for the Jack Wall report is...Jack Wall. I chanced upon him on Facebook, friended him, he accepted, and after I told him what I thought of his score, he broke the news to me. Personally, I think we are early enough in development of ME3 that we may still have a chance to stop this madness...like the fans of Star Trek did many years ago...by raising a big fat honking stink about it. I have more specifics about the breakdown, but I'll want to check with Jack before I start telling one side of a story second-hand.



I suppose the details are irrelevant; the issue here is that anyone who cares needs to know this is how things stand now. (I haven't even had a chance to ask Jack if he _wants_ to score ME3, though I did understand him to have great satisfaction and pride in the work he and his team accomplished to date, and that he felt privileged to have worked on 1 and 2.)



So if you care about this issue, _tell_as_many_people_as_you_can_. We can change things if we care to try; we're the end-users, the target consumers; the patrons of this art of immersive gaming, and it is with our wallets that we vote.

Yet Mass Effect 2 CLEARLY recognizes Liara's assistant as female. There is no denying that Liara instantly identifies who the Broker's agent was as soon as learning it was a female. The asari are and were clearly intended by the developers as female. Mono means "same"......hence mono-gendered species literally means same-sex species.

It's only mentioned in the Shadow Broker DLC sound files that are on the game disc as it shipped on day 1. You know just like all the Kasumi DLC sound files were found long before we ever got the Kasumi DLC?

They can claim mono-gender until they're blue in the face , everything about them is feminine which indicates female IMO.  They have female boobs, hips, legs, facial features, etc... they're chicks...., no matter how much they try to describe otherwise.
