Is it possible for BioWare to just release the DLC altogether, without further announcements or info? Like they do with weapon packs, for example?

It is possible, but given that they said that this might be the best ME2 DLC so far, why would they not want to create some marketing for it?

meh, i'm just an person so obsessed with halo that when a guy would normally ask his girlfriend if they can have a three-sum i would just ask her to dress up as cortana

Give me a break. Halo has been crap ever since the 3rd game. The only good ones were 1 and 2. After that, it was done. Bioware can most definitely compete with Bungie and win.

If you ask me, there hasn't been a good Halo since, well, Halo.

That being said, Reach does look promising.

obviously someone has not played the beta... they've made it so much better, though added some noobish things<_< but hey more challenges right? they're intoducing space combat, finally... reach is a completely different game than the trillogy.

and bungie broke away from microsoft shortly after the release of halo 3 because microsoft wasn't allowing them to take their time and make the game like they wanted to... microsoft is to bungie like EA is to bioware...

but i have derailled this thread... back to liara

I'm looking forward to Reach, but I'm still going to get this DLC because I want to know what's up with Liara and the SB; so no competition there. I guess the real comp starts with announced release dates and information policy. I suppose that whoever is responsible for relaying news to the community is bound by an internal policy which prevents them from disclosing any information until allowed to by whoever is in charge; meaning: even if they want to tell us, they can't. Time this policy changed, seriously.

Halo reach beta was the ****. Bungie doenst have anything to worry about. They cater to different audience's.

yeah im going to get liara as well since i bought more microsoft points when they announced the DLC and i'll be able to squease in liara if it is released on the same day as reach just because i'm getting online with some friends to do campaign first on legendary and some of them wake up at about 5-8 P.M.

Really, I don't recommend anyone getting their hopes up.  Just stay tuned until BioWare announces a date.
