whoever is in Edmonton needs to go to the Bioware office and demand a release date/info. Bring a sleeping bag/tent and just keep bugging them till they do. Surely there are people in that area.

Even the suicide mission didn't work out against Bioware :(. How would sleeping in a tent near their headquarters help us?

wait, did they actually try that?

Well, we almost did it yesterday  See pages 192-194. We even considered overwriting the heretics in Bioware to accept our truth. Or sending a geth infiltrator, so that if he was caught we could say that geth do not intentionally infiltrate.

i know it happened there but i took it all as everyone joking and having a great laugh... so my question is did people seriously try to gather to do this assault? my guess is no though...

No, of course they didn't. We all love Bioware too much to do that <3. Seriously.

hmm we all love bioware and hate EA right? what if we infultrated EA and since they now keep bioware trapped in a cage like some sort of wild animal while they attempt to domesticate them and get them to do their bidding we can break in and free bioware! or take EA's place to try and domesticate bioware to get them to release even more great DLC... and have the armor and weapons packs for free over the cerberus network:wizard:

Maybe we should go through the entire ME2 plot (including side quests), not just the suicide mission? ;) I bet the amount of text will be more than enough ;)

This delay is causing my love for them to wear thin though...

<_<... ok well take a look at conversation with one of the actual crew members. there is a large ammount of audio needed to make having a diolog wheel neccessary, no? i'll try to do alittle math on this but there are some holes so i wont be able to give much of an accurate response... but we can have an inition diolog wheel of two selections, "investigate" and "i got to go" we can probably say there are two audio files for "i got to go" one for the DLC character and one for shepard. the hole i have here is that i'm on the 360 and not the PC so i cant neccessarily look at the size of the different audio files, but we can say that they're atleast alittle over average for that better gaming experience. then for investigate we'd have probably atleast 4 option "question 1," "question 2," "question 3," and "go back." for each of the questions there can be quite a bit of explanation to the answer. then there might be one or two more questions about the explanation you can ask. so again the audio file number for the seperate explanations can varry depending on what the question asked is. and since this is liara we're talking about, a character that was romancable in the first game there will probably be even more diolog interaction for those who did romance her. then there could be the "catfight" that some people are speculating over. liara vs miranda/jack/tali/kelly/garrus/thane/jacob (yes we cannot forget that femshep could also romance liara)

so there actually is a bit of audio that would be required with the last bits being optional under the conditions of if bioware wants to get molotove cocktails thrown through their windows by obsessed insane fanatics who are displeased about not having that.

and for a side note if there was going to be that "catfight" then bioware would have to pay for most of the original squad to come in and do the audio for it, if they didn't record it when they were making the main game. which as been discussed before all over the forums, that costs allot of money..

so can we say that this duel is tied :P
1-1?

I'm afraid not ^^

Audio file (usualy larger file) is stocked. The code (writting) is really light, and is required to "search" the matching audio file with 3D morphing.

exemple, if you have a wheel with 3 choice (let say, 1:YES    2:NO   3:MAYBE), the code use 3 variales.
IF "player" choice = 1 then
    -audio file = "YES"
    -animation file = "YES"
end IF

IF "player" choice = 2 then
blablabla
you understand

I over simplified the code but, the code itself is just texte, so even thousand of line of code is a few mega.
animation file is coordonate (so each point have à X,Y,Z numeric reference at T time in a texte file) the more point you have, the more coordinat you have, but in ME2, the characters are made with not many point.
And 3 number in a texte file, you have to put undred of thousant to mage some meg.

It let the audio file, that require ammount of size because, unlike code and morphe, each can be unique and usuing high qulity (for people have a good sound hardware and set up). So a few speach from a character take quicly lot of space in your hard ware.

I'm not saying the whole thing don't take place (for exemple all speach of 1 character could be mixed in 1 big audio file, but the code know how to search the needed data in this big file), but the 3D animation if just a few % compared to the sound.

i gave you the point for saying that the animation is not that large and took you saying that the largest part is the audio and was trying to expand on that as a counter, which is my point. so the audio can be in one large file and the program is able to select the small bits of it that it needs. well the only difference in that is the small bits of code that says "this is where one audio file starts, and this is where it ends. then this is where the next one starts" and like you said its all text so there isn't much data to that.

also if you take every bit of digital information and bring it down to atoms/cells, aka bits and bytes, isn't it all just text anyway? nothing but 1s and 0s... 0s 1s and 2s for the computers i heard about in rumor that are in the pentagon and run on trinary code instead of binary:bandit:

i speak in metaphors... so thats what that was... just a metaphor...

though id be interested to see "sims effect" a mass effect themed sims game, especially since the only videogame my sister regularly plays is the sims...

edit: like go through missions with your sim being an N7 alliance marine or a specter going through missions and having romances and hell even have kids with those LI between the missions. though that would be the mass effect RTS that i mentioned in the thread that was necroposted recently:?

If you live close you should seriously just drop by say you're a customer (show them your game cases/games) and demand to speak to an employee. It might work and you never know until you try.

supposedly those computers run like three or five times faster than binary... if you knew how to translate binary code, i dont know if you do or not, youd would most likly understand that you can get to those larger numbers a heck of allot faster with less bits/bytes with trinary than binary

idk about sims effect.. but it could be cool for bioware to implement scenes in ME where like the crew are all eating breakfast or something kinda like firefly, or maybe see some stuff going on at "night". and i'd like to see more party interactions.. not just fights between 2 particular squadmates. just a thought.. something to break up the action and nott make it seem like you're just jogging and shooting for 40 hours on no sleep.

To pass the time, let's write the script to Mass Effect:

Udina: Well, what about Shepard: (insert Pre-Service History here)

Anderson: (insert Pre-Service History Here)

Hackett: He/she (insert Psychological Profile)

Anderson: He's/she's the only reason (insert Psychological Profile)

Udina: We can't question his/her courage.

Anderson: Humanity needs a hero...and Shepard's the best we got.

Udina: I'll make the call.

Yeah, I support that as well! Just don't make Shepard or squadmates want to go to restroom/bathromm/eat/sleep in the middle of a mission

You're totally missing the gloriousness of the Collector's edition!
