Im crossing my fingers they don't use Liara as a simple squadmate only for the expansion... Then again - that would be a little difficult to pull off.

She's not going to be a full-time squaddie...The chances of it are slim to none....Leaning more toward the none side than the other.

Not going to happen for a while. Just look at what page number we're on. :P

Yea, but, well, this thread is about Downloadable Posted ImageLiaraPosted Image Content. I, for one, don't think I'll care about other DLC nearly as much.

And since when am I being quoted as Fortlowe?

Yea, and we also had Jenkins as a squadmate in ME1... thinking about it, I'm kinda not sure I want Liara as a temporary squadmate. "They have a way of dying"...

The reason I think it will be, is because I remember reading an article with a member of the bioware team saying that they wanted ME3 to be out by the end of this year of this fiscal year which for them is march, and if that is the case I believe more time will be spent and better spent working on ME 3 then 1 or 2 more ME 2 dlcs.

Things may have changed they may not be anticipating an end of the yearish release

I don't remember reading/hearing that at all do you have a reference. The one I remember was Casey Hudson saying the turnaround time will be shorter than between ME and ME2 because they wont' develop a new engine. Since the time between ME1 and 2 was 3 years, we can realistically expect a development time of 1.5-2 years. Therefore it should be sometime late 2011 or early 2012. IMHO that makes the most sense.

It's pretty hard to pump out a new game in a year's time, although DAO2 is coming out just over a year later than DAO1.

I think they should bring Liara back full time after you complete the shadow broker DLC.(when it finally comes out )

Don't have the source and if I remember correctly I read it right before ME2 came out and they were talking about how in 1-2 years microsoft would be releasing a new xbox because they knew the console cycles were 5 years and wanted it to be on the 360.

But like I said it could have changed and wouldn't suprise me if they didnt release it until 2011 or 2012. If I had to guess I would say more like January of 2012 again thats a good 2 years. And with EA bringing madden and most sports titles out every year and DA being almost a year it wouldn't suprise me if EA is pushing for ME 3 to come out early 2011

The reason DA2 is coming out so fast after DAO is because they are being done on the same engine.
Which is why we can expect close to the same of ME3.  As they stated in an interview before ME2 was even released, they had already started working on ME3 the month they finished production on ME2.

The reason they won't is this supposedly takes place after the Suicide mission.  What will you be able to do with her?  Any side missions you didn't finish before then.  WOOOOOO yeah thats exciting.

They didn't know the specifics of the "new" xbox, which was the Xbox slim with Kinect.  Microsoft and for the matter Sony isn't going to release a new console already after putting resources and time into Kinect and those PS3 motion sticks.

I doubt it will be released in early 2011. First off DA2 doesn't really continue building from the original DAO, you're not the same person, the area is different and your choices/characters from previous games won't all carry on. ME3 has to account for all the choices you made in ME1 and 2. There's supposed to be over 1000 variables carried over from the previous ME games. To add to that they need to make an EPIC story/ending that will be worthy of the gods. I'd rather that they take their time than rush it out. Also with no announcement at E3 about ME2 release date/info then its most likely going to be released late 2011-early 2012 as they can show it off at E3 2011. it would also be a smart decision not to over saturate the market with RPG games.

I think we all want them to take enough time to make an awesome game and dont want them to rush it but also the choices could be as simple as emails.

I just thought of something whilst playing Mass Effect 2. Every nook and cranny of the ship has shipmates and crew except for one. The Captain's cabin. So, if in the likelihood -- and this is a BIG FAT IF -- Liara joins the squad what are the chances of her being housed there?
