Well, some people are speculating that this DLC will be post-suicide mission, and possibly the first of the story bridging content that will link to ME3. I believe that there is a reasonable chance of that being the case, and that this DLC could possibly provide the set up for Liara's squadmate role in ME3.

I bet they announce it tomorrow and release it Tuesday. It's been 4 weeks, plus GamesCon is up and coming, so if they release it Tuesday, they can hype it up at that show. Overlord was released during E3.

If they were always planning for a Sept. release, they would have waited and announced it around this time.

If not next week, then the release will probably be the week after.

That's exactly what I think, too.

Ladies and Gent's just chill, no point getting too frustrated it will only make it worse for all of us trying to keep up with "useful updates (not that we got any) but the point is the more we "slag" them off doesn't give them a reason to be any more willing to give info to us. So just be a bit more chillaxed and we will get the info we all desire soon enough :). I've been assuming Tuesday will be the most likely day to hear about the DLC's release date/time as it makes sense to give out such information at an' event like gamescon. So just be patient fellow Liara lovers! we will get our wishes come true soon :D

Yup, Tuesday. If there is one thing I've learned from you, it's NOT underestimating your speculations. :wizard:

That's very true, and it might be standard practice to release storybased DLC during a major video game convention, whenever possible, as it would help to create hype and increase the marketability of the content.

Bioware-"We are proud to announce here at GamesCon our newest downloadable package for Mass Effect 2, titled Lair of the Shadow Broker. It'll be available to Xbox 360 and PC......5 weeks ago."

Fans-"LOLWUT?"

Bioware-"Yeah, you all already have the DLC. You just need this code we're releasing to the public to unlock it."

Fans-"GODDAMN IT! FUUUUUU-"

I'm cautiously optimistic that we will get some news some time next week, but I highly doubt we will get the DLC by then.

Same for me.

Our best chance to hear anything is during
the EA press conference at Gamescom which starts Tuesday at 4 PM local
time in Cologne, Germany. It seems like the rest of Gamescom will be
devoted to DA2 and other new titles so the press conference will
probably be it for major news for the week.

Finally a human timezone for europeans.

lol

How the hell is Bioware gonna end this game in only 20-25 hours ? (the length of their games approx). This game needs an expansion, not ****loads of DLC that builds on a story that we allready explored, give us something new ! (here's hoping this DLC takes place after the final mission)

Of course, but why announce something almost 2 months before releasing it?

Who knows? I dont neccessarily disagree with you, I'm just saying. BioWare are BioWare and its impossible to know how they operate. Even though it might seem illogical to us to announce a DLC package two months before launch, it doesn't mean they wont do it.

It does, as this would just make sense considering the backstory and current situation surrounding Liara in her transition from ME1 - ME2. Liara cannot join Shepard, unfortunately because she is effectively under contract to remain in her job on Ilium, plus she wants to use this position as a method to finally track down the Shadow Broker and take it (no idea whether its him/her?) down. Therefore, the logical progression would be that Liara finally contacts Shepard with a request for help after she hears of the success of the team's suicide mission.

My top wish/hope for LoTSB is that Liara has some complete interactive dialogue, so that you can converse with her in the same way that you do all of the other main characters both during the mission(s) and also back on the Normandy. I was very disappointed that Bioware decided to go down the route of minimalist "press A to Talk" one-liners especially with Kasumi, OK she has some mostly relevant opinions that are up to date with the current situation in the story but other than that she was pretty bland once located on the Normandy.

Another thing - if Liara does become a playable character i.e. joining Shepard's crew, where is there any space left on the new Normandy for her to have her own location?
