Am I the only one hoping that Liara has a chance to die in the DLC? She's the only love interest that cannot die in both games. :P

How the hell is Bioware gonna end this game in only 20-25 hours ? (the length of their games approx). This game needs an expansion, not ****loads of DLC that builds on a story that we allready explored, give us something new ! (here's hoping this DLC takes place after the final mission)

It does, as this would just make sense considering the backstory and current situation surrounding Liara in her transition from ME1 - ME2. Liara cannot join Shepard, unfortunately because she is effectively under contract to remain in her job on Ilium, plus she wants to use this position as a method to finally track down the Shadow Broker and take it (no idea whether its him/her?) down. Therefore, the logical progression would be that Liara finally contacts Shepard with a request for help after she hears of the success of the team's suicide mission.

My top wish/hope for LoTSB is that Liara has some complete interactive dialogue, so that you can converse with her in the same way that you do all of the other main characters both during the mission(s) and also back on the Normandy. I was very disappointed that Bioware decided to go down the route of minimalist "press A to Talk" one-liners especially with Kasumi, OK she has some mostly relevant opinions that are up to date with the current situation in the story but other than that she was pretty bland once located on the Normandy.

Another thing - if Liara does become a playable character i.e. joining Shepard's crew, where is there any space left on the new Normandy for her to have her own location?

2 things:

1) If the DLC uses the dialogues already in the game as Kasumi did.. Cerberus gave Shepard intel on the SB... if its post-SM then that doesn't make sense because wether you keep the base or destroy it.. Shepard makes it clear he's on his own so why would TIM give you the intel??

2)There's alot of room on the Normandy.. everyone says there isn't. Liara could stay in the medical bay with Dr. Chakwas again, or she could be in the Comm Room, she could even be in the Crews Quarters (give you a reason to go there other then to listen to the two crew members talk to each other), she could go hang out with Samara.. they're both Asari and I'm sure Liara would be interested in a Justicar... there is alot of room for Liara on the Normandy..

If Liara happened to be another squad member for ME 2, then it may even be possible to use her for the final mission. That wouldn't seem right, since Bioware had stated even before the release of ME 2 of "The Dirty Dozen". That would certainly break the promise in using only 12 squad members - not 13. She should be an SM for ME 3, not ME 2. I'm pretty sure for Bioware that that is a definite.

However, IF Bioware miraculously was able to put in Liara (in which i wouldn't think so), it would be best to use her after the final mission. I mean, what would the point be if Liara was added into the final mission and you KNEW that (if you had no upgrades and no loyalty, except for Liara) only three of your SM's are going to survive (one of them being Liara)? That wouldn't make sense!

As much I would love to Liara in the captain's quarters, i think that would be difficult to believe....unless you loved her in ME 1....Posted Image

If not, then I would consider to put her in either the medical bay (w/Chakwas), the extra room (w/ the 2 cerberus crew members), the room w/Samara, or on the 4th deck opposite of Jack.

I highly dought Liara will join Shepard but I'm okay with that.. I was just saying the Captain's Cabin as a joke.. And yes... it wouldn't make sense. But if the DLC is post-SM then maybe 'cause theres no way to get her killed... but I mean after the SM whats the point your done the game... unless you still have a few side-missions. Or maybe if you were loyal to her and she joins after SM you'll get a surprise Posted Image (That is a joke).

Also maybe.. if she joins your squad.. she wont be among the 12 members you take on missions she'll just be on the Normandy... then when the Collector's attack the Normandy.. Liara would be taken too. Then even if you let your team die Liara would still be alive with Dr. Chakwas (cause she always survives) and then Liara could still be alive for ME3.

Now you might be thinking "But if you don't send someone to escort Dr. Chakwas she dies" yes... but if Liara is there, she can handle it. Again I'm just typing while these things pop in my head and theres a 99% chance that I am wrong.. but I am okay if Liara doesn't join Shep in ME2... as long as she's by my side in ME3

I am also interested in what this treat, which cannot be revealed prior to the release of the DLC as it will spoil it's content, will turn out to be. I know that some have speculated that this treat will be the boosted biotics that Christina Norman has tweeted about, but I fail to see how that would spoil anything featured in the DLC that is not related to combat.

I can't wait!

IIRC, there is no "spoiling" going on w/ the big secret.  It's just something the devs find cool that will not be advertised for the dlc. My money is on the boosted biotics.  BW is nothing if not predictable.

Hopefully they work on shields and armour again, wtf were they thinking with that.

I hope there wont be a ridicoulus amount of people who are going to be severely dissapointed once they find out Liara isnt a permanent squad member. Bioware allready said no more DLC squad members.

I can't wait for the new DLC, and I'm definitely interested in the shadow broker story but I don't understand what's the big deal about Liara?

Her story arc between ME1 and ME2 is forced and unnatural. Given her setup in ME1, her position in ME2 seems "shoe-horned" onto her character. (That's a pretty big leap to make in just two years between stories...). Her personality is bland. She's attractive, but otherwise a great big ol ball of "meh." I'm more excited for the DLC because I love the game and the world of Mass Effect -not so much because of Liara specifically.

Liara isn't that bad, but she is kind of average-she was sweet in ME1, but that was lost in ME2.

I'm not sure how that would work given her new duties after the end of this DLC. What the sound files revealed is that she'll probably be bussy 24/7 performing a highly important task that I just don't know how or why she would abandon.
