I'd rather have her in ME 3 - just because it only makes sense to do so.

I'm not sure how that would work given her new duties after the end of this DLC. What the sound files revealed is that she'll probably be bussy 24/7 performing a highly important task that I just don't know how or why she would abandon.

I'm just wondering....how did...arcuido get liara's files?

Gibbed's Audio Extractor, or w/e, if you want to find it, google it.

Those sound files are pretty easily found if you have the PC version of the game.

In case you haven't already seen them: you might also be interested in Didymos' Unused Audio series, one of the Galactic News messages is probably relevant to this DLC.

i have noted that many people are 50/50 about the new DLC and if Liara will be a member of your team after the mission but think about it if she is not bioware will lose a lot of fan respect and i dont think they are willing to risk that so there is a good 95% chance that she will join shepered and a team member

I highly doubt she will join after the DLC. Casey Hudson stated no new squad mates for ME2 after Kasumi.

The only way would be if they consider this the last of the ME2 DLC, and the next DLC will be 'ME2.5' with bridging content. So, at the end of this DLC, she could join and could be used in the next DLC/expansion pack.

I highly doubt this, though. I think Liara will return to Illium, though I don't think this is supported by those sound files, as I believe they are cut content.

I can see her as a crewmate, not a squadmate for those who stayed loyal. Because there is always room in Sheps bedroom :D. Other then that where would she go?

Fans-"LOLWUT?"

Bioware-"Yeah, you all already have the DLC. You just need this code we're releasing to the public to unlock it."

Fans-"GODDAMN IT! FUUUUUU-"

Now THAT would be classic!! lmao

I don't know.  They'd have to create a new level to the Normandy, plus a new room.

Anyone ever considered the possibility that if Liara is coming aboard she'll be in the crew quarters sitting at the big table in the main hall or with doctor Chackwas in the Medical bay?

After hearing the dialogue about Liara and finding the Shadowbroker, I honestly don't think she'll be back as a crew member. I keep getting this feeling that the dialogue will be used in the DLC just like Kasumi's unimplemented dialogue was added with the DLC.

Hey everyone!

I was just listening to the hidden dialogue from Liara and I think you can do this DLC without having done Liara's hacking quest! I have the game on PC (and Xbox) and I extracted Liara's audio files and started listening to them.

In one of the hidden audio files Liara says: "I found one interesting thing though. One of the Shadow Brokers agents survived our attack. It's someone called The Observer. Taking down The Observer will tie up most of the loose ends the Shadow Broker left behind"

EDIT: Also just found another one and Liara says: "Let's hope The Observer is too busy running than to try and avenge the Shadow Broker."

Thats suggests that you and Liara went after the SB without taking down The Observer.

Also.. not sure if this is new news or not but I still see some people wondering if you have to do Liara's side quest to do the DLC.. this proves the answer is no.

What about the 4th deck, opposite of where Jack is sleeping? It may not be the most comfortable place to sleep for Liara, but it may be the place for getting information on and off - as well as Jack getting some distance from her and working side-by-side w/Tali.

She's probably going to be the new Shadow Broker, thus unable to join Shepard and become part of the Normandy crew.

Would be funny if Liara is beside Tali. You romance Liara in ME1, kiss her on Illium then she joins the Normandy, Shep goes to talk to Tali,

Shep: "Don't worry Tali.. I feel the same way"

Tali: "Oh, good. I'll do some research, maybe I can take anti-biotics to boost my immune system, cause I want you to see whats under this damn helmet, I need to feel your skin against mine"

And once Liara hears you had a romance w/Tali, you'll go back down to deck 4 and wonder where Liara is.

Then you go back downstairs to try talking to Liara (who is crying). Instead, you get slapped in the face.

depressing & awkward moment.....

hmmm?? anyone think that you can kick someone off the Normandy to make room for Liara?

i think that would be the best option....since Tali would be my first choice (wanted to do that already when she came on board in ME1) since Legion does a much better job and is a very adept sniper

never use Tali on my team in ME2, she's only there to get the shield upgrade.

Good job I chose Miranda as my ME2 LI then, as I went for Liara in ME1. I decided just to keep up the friendly cameraderie with Tali, since she was a great crewmember from the first game - then again I will admit I did the ME series in reverse. Completed ME2 twice (to get the perfect Paragon ending), then went back and played through ME1 three times to reach level 60, I never even considered getting ME1 until recently as when it first came out in 2007 due to a small game called Halo 3 ^_^

Liara will not be a full squad mate in Mass Effect 2 and Im happy about that. Why? Because every squad mate in Mass Effect 2 can die. That means that all the squad mates in Mass Effect 2 will have a smaller role in Mass Effect 3 and I want Liara to have a big role.

I think that is why she is not on the main squad in Mass Effect 2 because they have big plans for her in Mass Effect 3.

hell, the Observer is being killed by Liara her self on Illium just after you called Liara on the radio after finishing her the second quest for Liara so these files are  just cut from the game as i supected:P

Edit : Apart from that it doesn't make sense to not do her Illium quest first
before you  can do the LoSB DLC i am  100% certain that you have to the Illium Quest first

Projecting positive energies, maybe?  I dunno.
