Well, some people theorise that the release date will be announced and confirmed today, with the actual DLC itself being released tomorrow to coincide with the start of gamescom. I hope that turns out to be the case!

For some reason I doubt it!

But I don't care as long as it isn't on this Thursday.

Probably very little.   For example, if you started a new game then I would imagine that LotSB won't be playable before you meet up with Liara on Illium and complete her hacking requests.

If it's post Suicide Run then you'll get an email from Liara and probably have access to LotSB immediately.

Well, it would give a certain freedom with some characters that are required to be alive after the suicide mission, if you catch my drift... Or at least that's why I'm hoping for it to be post-suicide run, I can't speak for anybody else

If they've waited so far for the announcement, I don't see why they'd make it now, just ahead of tomorrow's Gamescom press (let's not forget that the actual Gamescom doesn't start until Wednesday). IMHO the best case scenario is immediate release tomorrow after the Gamescom press, but, say, releasing in a week with the DLC playable at Gamescom this week another, albeit a lot less desirable alternative...

Even if Bioware said it would be released tomorrow, you would get 10 page of people complaining they don't want to wait anymore and want it now  : )

Golems of Amgarrak just came out recently so I suspect Bioware is mum on info to avoid having two DLC compete with one another.

Personally, all I want is a release date. I wont be watching any trailers, or reading any spoilerific information.



Both Overlord and Kasumi's trailers revealed pretty much every single environment, enemy, and feature of their associated DLC packages. Prior to ME2's launch, BioWare spoiled the ever loving crap out of the game through their teasers, trailers, previews, and promotional videos.



BioWare suck the hairiest of balls when it comes to keeping some things secret. They go way too overboard with their trailers and reveals.



For my own sake, I wont be watching a trailer. I want this to be fresh.
