If you screw this up BioWare may God have mercy on your soul.
Aye, because I certainly wont.WilliamShatner wrote...
For dealing with a significant character like The Shadow Broker this DLC should be several hours long. Not the standard 60-90 minute BioWare DLC.
Again... Yep.WilliamShatner wrote...
And if Cerberus are the ones sending you to go after him/her/it you should be able to side with the Shadow Broker.
God! I hope it has nothing to do with Cerberus whats-o-ever. I told TIM to go and flip himself and i'm geting sick of all the DLC not taking this possible outcome into account and acting like were still on speaking terms.WilliamShatner wrote...
And it damn well better feature Shepard and Liara's relationship in a significant way. And Liara's character darn well better revert to the Liara we all know and love or at least be on the road to recovery for ME3.
This is the main selling point for me. If this isn't handled well at all and Liara is still the stranger that was in the main game, then i'll probably cry.
Boy are you two whiners. What do you mean this is what ME2 should've been? If this wasn't finished by the 26th...
I'm sure BioWare won't screw it up...but I agree on the length.
What DLC ignores your relationship with Cerberus. The only one that mentions them at all is Overlord, and that's barely at all. I know Shepard at the end has a line like "If the Illusive Man doesn't like it" but how is that a big deal?
And the whining about Liara's character...ugh.

Apart from the potential (and unfortunately likely imo) romance/story downer ,it will be quite a poor and unprofessional mistake by Bioware to release charged DLC months after release when there have been audio files stating its conclusion published across the internet since release. Of course I could be wrong, the audio files could indeed be only from a scrapped Shadowbroker arc that was to be included originally as part of the game and now they have taken into consideration the fans and leaked content and changed the potential story somewhat, i doubt that though.
As for being a playable character, we'll considering there is no more space on the character selection screen and one of the released screenshots show 4 characters (indicating you play with Garrus and Tali to be assisted at cut scenes by Liara) its doubtful.
Regardless the greatest game ive ever played by far however its infuriates me with how Bioware havent really made Liaras change realistic, with it being moreso if she still refuses to assist Shepard or show any recognition of Garrus or Tali following the DLC which the audio files indicate.
Thoughts?

EDIT: I really hope that Garrus, Liara and Tali have some things to say to each other. Really it is unrealistic that old teammates wouldn't have catching up to do since they were together saving the galaxy in the first game.

Introducing her in ME2 with a radically different personality in the process of having her goodness destroyed by some stupid obsession with the Shadow Broker (an obsession which came completely out of left field) and then never resolving that situation was bull****.
People don't play games to feel powerless to resolve things, they get more than enough of that crap in real life. By the same token, I've had more than enough of ME2 style Liara. If she's not back on the path to being her old self by the end of this DLC, its just going to ****** me off even more.
PS: If you ice the Shadow Broker, I can't think of any reason why Liara wouldn't join your crew at that point and the Shadow Broker himself was a contrived and out of character justification for her to stay on Illium to begin with. Considering Bioware's past statements, I doubt we'll see Liara on board the Normandy; but I'm afraid the only reasons we'll get for that will be equally contrived.
I'd really like to see her added as a squad member, which can still be done if they want to keep ensure she's alive for ME3 (which I certainly want) by simply making it so that any scenario in which Liara dies on the suicide mission also entails Shepard dying as well (like they did with Miranda). Or alternatively they could just script in a little cut scene that shows her being incapacitated by an explosion before you board the Collector Station.

Huh, did you notice that Tali is holding an SMG in that shot?

so true so true.
My biggest, hope is a bonus power like Disruptor...it would create the perfect, heaven class for me... god I wish for that.
All is missing is wrex coming from behind....sigh the old team (minus human crew)..... so nice to have em....
Garrrus sniping, Liara sending people flying, Wrex charging head long, Tali overloading or hacking mecs, Shep...doing w/e he did (depending on the character)... but in mine shooting stuff.
Good times.... good times.
PS: just being.....careful so as to be heard lol.
PLS bonus power resembling disruptor ammo...PLS

But seriously, folks, I agree with the need for this to be an involving campaign. Overlord was great, but this arc has had quite a bit of build-up and the shadow broker is supposed to be the most powerful information broker in the galaxy. I hope this makes for an EPIC story arc. I've been faithful so far

1. Does this DLC/Expansion take place during or after the events on the Collector Station past the Omega 4 relay? Timeline is important and I think it's time we had some post ME2 - pre ME3 story.
2. Although the romance aspect of the game is interesting it's not primary nor anything I obsess over but that said I really hope Bioware handles this carefully on how Liara reacts if to Sheppard moving on if the player chose to take that route. No matter how awesome the mission itself may turn out to be, it can be ruined if the relationship aspect is handled poorly or indifferently as it is a part of the overall story IMO.
3. Based on a screenshot which shows Shep, Tali, Garrus and Liara all in one scene, does that mean we still take 2 squad members and Liara along for this mission? If so then the combat must be intense to require a squad of 4 in total.

Maybe like warp ammo, I duno, or just like an AP version of disruptor, when AP is compared to incendiary.
Maybe, It causes just as much damage to shields, but against Mechs and Geth, is more effective than normal rounds, but not as "effective" as normal disruptor ammo.

Those weapons arent in the dlc. Bioware should really stop showing off weapons you cant use inside a dlc thats yet to come out.

Hopefully this DLC will be 2x-3x as large as Overlord. Gamble said that they were working on it for a while, hopefully it's more polished, meaning banter/more VO's for squad mate interaction.
