Why not? IMO it'd be better than on Xbox because with the multi-layered blue-ray stuff you wouldnt have to switch discs....As far as Im concerned, it'd be a great thing if it went to PS3....That is unless, of course, you are one of those PC folks who detest the fact that it's even on Xbox as well.  I'd like to be optimistic and say that surely you arent that shallow. 

But seriously though, I'd welcome a PS3 adaptation of ME2, just so I didnt have to switch discs all the time lol.

If it went to PS3 then they'd have to make it n00b friendly for people that haven't played the other games, therefore it'd have to be n00b friendly on the PC and xbox, thus pissing people off even more.

huh? if they bundle both ME1 and 2 together, why would they have to change it.

If they bundle ME1 and 2? Hmmm...Well, since MICROSOFT!!! You know, MICROSOFT!!! Own ME1, good luck getting that on the playstation...

Microsoft owns the publishing rights to that game.  They gave EA permission to publish ME1 on the PC which is why EA is the publisher for ME1 PC.  In the deal they probably required EA to only publish any ME trilogy games (2&3) on the PC and 360.  Microsoft is a business and they aren't stupid.... they don't want their competitors (Sony) getting hold of their profits.

What if microsoft went out of buisness....apple is coming up fast (although microsoft going out of buisness isn't gonna happen i know)

Then apple would be broken up by the US Government because it would be considered a monopoly.

Exactly, I was confused more than anything when I got my copy of ME2 especially when you reach the beginning of the suicide mission segment (heading for the Omega 4 relay), the second you make that decision with Joker & EDI = black screen with prompt "Please insert disc 1"...huh1?!

Buy the PC version. Problem solved. (if that is your only problem)

Take Bethesda as a prime example of what can be done in terms of the sheer amount of base game content that can be placed onto a single DVD disc - Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and Fallout 3 being prime examples; just the main campaign of Fallout 3 without touching any additional DLC took me over 100 hours to finish. Compared to ME2 which only took me 34 hours on my very first playthrough and they tell me to switch discs to play the endgame!

You know that data size =/= game length, right? Bethesda's titles and the Mass Effect games are very, very different.

Yea i don't wanna see a mass effect game that looks like oblivion, Graphics,textures,animations ect. are all simply horrible for it's time even (fallout was better but alot of ugly stuff still)

Btw couldn't sony kind slide it's way in through the fall of microsoft, they make tv's. phones and pc's don't seem a far leep in terms of buisness thus forcing apple to limit it's prices and eleminating any chance of a monoply?

Without even knowing what plot twists are waiting for us in LotSB, I'm wondering if the rest of you feel like Liara is like the character Vesper from the James Bond movie Casino Royale?



You would have had to have seen it to be able to properly gauge the comparisons, including the love affair, the betrayal and the tragic sacrifice that Vesper makes to keep Bond alive.

All I know is that it's at 9 am CST.

If you want to know what time EA's press thingo is, click here. There you can see exactly what time it is in Cologne, Germany. When that says August 17th 4:00pm, that is when the EA press event is on.



As for the Mass Effect 2 PS3 release, it will be called Mass Effect 2: Genesis ;-).

The Reapers are a lie (as the Council have confirmed).

The Rachni are a lie (as confirmed by a bath of acid).

The Romance between you and Liara is a lie (as confirmed by the under emotional "Sheppard! Go hax some terminalz, mmk?").

This DLC is a lie (as shown by the lack of any more information).

The Cake is a lie (which we know as Grunt with his Krogan appetite would not be able to resist all the cake ingredients left in the kitchen).



Of course...Bioware could always change the status of the romance and the DLC...



If they ever actually tell us when to expect it (or even announce an announcement about it!)
