I really hope in Gamescom they don't just show more of ToR and leave.

I think they are going to show some DA2 as well.  Nothing has been mentioned about ME2 yet.

DA2 will have a publicly playable demo at Gamescom: available from the 19-22nd (taken from BW's twitter page). Gamescom would be the logical place to announce the latest DLC for ME2. With the level of progress they've made with DA2 to offer a publicly available demo practically 6 months before release with the game slated for mid-March 2011 = ^ potential for an earlier release of ME3, heres hoping...

As for the Mass Effect 2 PS3 release, it will be called Mass Effect 2: Genesis ;-).

Huh ?
May be the meaning isn't the same in english but... 2 and genesis aren't supposed to classify in different position?

Genesis require "beggining", "Source", while ME2 implie "what happen after ME".

This title sounds to me like "Mass Effect the second; the beggining of Mass Effect"

I checked for an english definition, here it is
onlinedictionary.datasegment.com/word/genesis

And my understanding of the word match the first definition.

As far as I'm concerned people need to give up on this ME2 PS3 port because it is not gonna happen due to the simple reason that ME1 won't be ported to the PS3 due to Microsoft owning the publishing rights to the game.

That doesn't stop ME2 getting a port. Yeah yeah continuity of the story rarr rarr its a sequel. Its happened in the past.

Whether or not it happens based on this current rumour, we'll see, but the first game being a Microsoft published title in no way dinies ME2 from getting a port.

I doubt we are going to hear anything new today, but it would not hurt, that's for sure!

If there is no news by tomorrow, I'm giving up. I'll just wait for it to be released and try to not think about it.

Has to be. If we were going to hear something today, we would have already found out about it by this point.

There is supposibly alot of media cover there, more so than comic-con. So whenever it's Bioware's time I sure we'll know what happened. I just want to hear SOMETHING I don't care what just something. Tired of wanting to wake up and just see it there like Overlord and come to find out not even a release date.

Have you seen the publishing agreement for ME1? No, didn't think so.

Since the IP is owned my EA/Bioware, it's possible that Microsoft's agreement might be limited to, say, 3 years, when the rights would revert to EA/Bio this November.

It's obvious that the rights to this franchise are a lot more complicated than the standard "publisher holds all rights" setup, as evidenced by the lack of a microsoft logo on ME2.

EA/Bio might well pull a "George Lucas" as they control the franchise rights - make a bunch of adjustments to the ME1 content, such as yank out the ME1 exp system and replace it with the ME2 mission based exp (unlikely, but possible) and/or just pack in onto a single blu-ray with ME2 and call it Mass Effect: Attack of the Reapers.

All I'm saying is that the reason for the lack of a PS3 version are obviously contractual and related to Microsoft, but there are no grounds for assuming that the rights situation is PERMANENT.

Now, where's that lair? The Shadowbroker's really giving us the runaround here, I'm still waiting for payback for that Cerberus info...

Edit: Even if ME1 were unportable, all they'd really need to do was flesh out the "interrogation" scene in the Kodiak after the initial space station, add a bunch of flashbacks, cutscenes and exposition and allow the player to make the decisions in the narrative!

That is only because Microsoft gave EA permission to do so.

it's 20:30 here... an other day gone and still Nothing, no Liara DLC in sight

i start to doubt it will be any different tomorrow Gamescon or no

i even start to think they wont release it this week maybe next week

maybe they don't want it to steal any attention away from DA2 since this is BW"s other Big Game

i hope i am wrong.

Iwant this DLC NAOW!

Don't quite know why you felt you had to " *headdesk* ".

All I did was state (correctly) that EA published the Windows/PC version of ME.  Also, I do not recall hearing/reading that MS had any hand in its creation.  imo its not in their best interest from a business perspective to have a potential killer app on another system (though I obviously I do not begrudge PC gamers the chance to play ME Posted Image).

EDIT: grammar etc

Proof?

EDIT:  (sorry should be more polite) - do you have a link to back that up?
