From BW's point of view it would be better for them if they made a n00b-friendly ME3 have about 10 hrs less content than those who imported from ME2 and 12 hrs less for those importing from 1 & 2. New players would then have to get 1 & 2 to enjoy the whole experience.
I don't think they'll reveal LSB at the EA presser eithe

New audience. BW always think new fans first. ME2 does not even have weapon stats in-game. Squad has no armor, just the same outfits for both Normandy and mission. There is very basic upgrade system, and you can't really miss any of those upgrades, nor you have to earn them. They call that a customization. Now you add in PS3 audience with no idea about ME story, lore or characters and what do you think ME3 is going to look like.

You've got a point there. Well, I'm still hoping they take the best out of ME1 and M2 for the end of the trilogy...Kronner wrote...

Blah blah blah. Either way it doesn't matter, it's not going to PS3, Bioware already said so, at least for the Shepard trilogy.

I certainly hope so.

I'm pretty sure BioWare have never explicitly stated that the Shepard trilogy will not come to the PS3. Mass Effect 1 maybe, but not since EA purchased them.

That's the way ME3 is going to go, regardless of a ps3 port or not. Making the game more accesible and simple will earn them more profit. However I really hope they try to find a balance between ME1 and ME2 game mechanics, anything simpler than ME2 is a mindless shooter.

Yes it can ... what's matter to Microsoft when they want an exclusivity, is to keep it at least for windows environement (so, Xbox360 AND PC).II J0SePh X II wrote...
ME can't be exclusive to PC AND 360 - exclusive would mean it's only availabe on one platform.
If they pay enough or realy want to, they keep it only to Xbox360, like fable II.

I think you shouldn't think for Bioware, when they make games they don't think about "how can we improve the sale of a game released 2 years ago that cost 9$ by making a new dumbed down game".
And, like said Chris, ME are full game that doesn't require to play the other to enjoy it.

As far as the Shadow Broker DLC, I know BW won't state a release date after the Ostagar issue. If I was part of the company, I would state the DLC is coming 4 weeks later than the actual target date and make everyone here think it's awesome when it's released early. You know, kind of how Scotty would multiply repair estimates by 4 in the old Star Trek series...
