That's a stupid move.
It'd be like porting Halo 3 to PS3 without any of the other games. How will they understand what the hell is happening when they start playing ME2? Who's going to buy a sequel to a game without buying the original, anyway? They needed to port both games, or none. It's not complicated...

I know their ME2 will be sh*ty.. it'll be the delault so PS3 people will have: Udina on the Council, Original Council dead, Wrex dead, Kaidan dead if female,/Ashley if male, they won't get the "Faithful romance".. etc, they won't get the side mission that are related to ME1 (If they do, they won't understand them) By just getting the 2nd game half the choises are taken away from them.. it doesn't make sense

No matter how angry people seem, you will still buy the broker DLC. If you want to "get back" at bioware, you can either not buy it....or the other thing. You know what I mean.

Wow, the amount of hate over the ME2 for PS3 announcement is stupid. Isn't anyone excited over the possibility that this franchise will reach more people, meaning more fans, more new merchandise and better chances for the success of the Mass Effect movie? You people need to get over yourselves.

Undercover BioWare Troll?

Wow.... thanks.

No, I'm just a lover of Mass Effect and Dragon Age who really doesn't care what systems they are on. I mean the games are on the PC too... OH NO WHY DID ALL THOSE PC GUYS GET IT????1!111!!!??

maybe the PS3 version will get something of a recap intro movie or something to tell the storie  upto the point of ME2
but still... i would not buy it if the first part was missing....it's weird
it feels like going to a movie but only see the last half of it

I'm not opposed to ME2 being on the PS3, I'm just a little concerned. We all know that in this day and age it's all about exclusives....look at the Call of Duty exclusivity to xbox in regards to maps, even though the maps will be on the ps3 at some point, they come to the Xbox first. I really don't want to see exclusive missions for either the xbox or the ps3, because it means that someone is getting left out, and with a series this great, that's not fair.

Hopefully ME2 and ME3 will be identical on Xbox and Playstation when they arrive, with neither console getting something over the other one.

Wouldn't be surprised if this SB DLC is the wrap up to Liara's story now. Can't see BioWare spending resources on any Mass Effect character for ME3 now.

^ This

The devs had better come in this thread and appoligize and give us info on LotSB or I honnestly think I'm gonna lose all interest... I don't even feel like buying it anymore..

Thanks Bioware... thanks alot.

Yes thanks Bioware for giving us amazing games and franchises like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. You people need to get over yourselves, Mass Effect being brought to more people = more new fans, more success, more merchandise, and a better chance at a Mass Effect movie being more successful.

Next announcement less RPG elements I'm going to guess that more fans means alot more streamlined = mass effect the third person shooter.

It's not the fact that PS3 players get ME2, it's the fact that there's no announcement about the DLC at all.

Bioware: I could care less if it's released on the ps3.. just don't push back Mass Effect 3 so ps3 exclusivers can catch up and dont start adjusting the game to make it more everyone-friendly and going away from your roots. I have a ps3 but with having done several play-throughs in both Mass Effect games so far, no way am I going to bother buying it for the ps3, even with exclusive dlc. If there is any exclusive dlc for the PS3, I will play it at a friends house or something along those lines.

I put this in the ps3 thread, but since that is kind of what we are talking about. I was wondering if this ps3 game was the Mass Effect content that is supposed to come out at the beginning of next year. I sure hope not.

I think Bioware can rewrite story abit just for PS3 game. "The PS3 edition will include the full Mass Effect 2 game and hours of BONUS CONTENT". Can this "Bonus Content" include additional story for Ashley,Wrex,Kaidan? How do you think?

Yeah agreed.  Perhaps the marketing side of Bioware think that these are incentives, but for fans it's not like that at all - like you say, you just feel like you're doomed to miss out on content, either way.

If they do that, ME3 is joining Left4Dead 2 in the NoMoneyFromSlakkyEver bin.

I seriously hope the brand managers at EA get it through their skulls that ME2 is horrible as a pure action game.  It seems like they're really trying to strangle the goose that layed the golden egg with Bioware franchises lately.

I hate the idea that I'd miss out on content because I'm on the wrong platform... So that's a big fat no from me.

At least we know the real reason behind that 'Story So Far' trailer that popped up a while back...

Anyways, I can't see why everyone's getting their knickers in a twist over the announcement it's coming to the PS3. For all the 360 fanboys, they get to play a game we busted wide-open a year after we did it. For the PS3 fanboys, they finally get to play a great game, but without the little intricacies that carry over from ME1 and made it an awesome game. For the rest - ie. the Mass Effect fanboys - the series is getting more exposure and awareness. More exposure equals more profit, more profit equals more moolah to sink into making the remaining DLC plans and the development of Mass Effect 3. And surely that is the most important thing?

If they make LotSB exclusive for the PS3 I'm gonna go on a killing spree!
