Oh yeah because bonus content will make up for Mass Effect 1... if Microsoft were to allow them to make Mass Effect 1 for the ps3, they'd demand something equal or greater in return.   While EA is good at business, Microsoft runs circles around them and is better at keeping their customers satisfied.

So what, they announced the game to a PS3 port, why is this a bad thing. OMG they arent catering to my console specifically. OMG its going to screw everything up. OMGOMG I WANT MY LIARA DLC. Seriously guys, your acting like 2 year olds. Bioware is a company, they exist to make money. The way to make money is make a product available to the most people possible. How are they a sellout for allowing ME2 to go to PS3. They did it with DA, why should it matter if they do it with ME as well. "But I wont get to rub it in the faces of Ps3 users that I have a better game then them". Seriously console wars are the stupidest thing on this side of the Mississippi. Really your afraid the forums are going to be overrun with PS3 fanboys. People who are acting like this, I know it is a very small minority, need to grow up. Personally I have a few great friends that play on the Ps3 and desperatley want the game. Why do you hate them for that? We dont know how they are going to handle it and I doubt it will change anything in the way of ME3, they have already worked on it for 10 months.

As for the Liara DLC. Ya sure I want info, but the way you guys are acting you surely dont deserve it. Face it, stop acting like kids, calm down and think, and maybe this wont seem as bad as you think it is. The world keeps spinning, and your not the only one on it.

We all know that in this day and age it's all about exclusives....look at the Call of Duty exclusivity to xbox in regards to maps, even though the maps will be on the ps3 at some point, they come to the Xbox first. I really don't want to see exclusive missions for either the xbox or the ps3, because it means that someone is getting left out, and with a series this great, that's not fair.

Hopefully ME2 and ME3 will be identical on Xbox and Playstation when they arrive, with neither console getting something over the other one.

I'm really afraid that this is going to happen because EA has been very close to sony lately who knows they might have some deal in the works right now. We are all screwed now.

Its probably something to let them make up for not having ME1 ...like being able to play parts of ME1 or make the choices so that not everyone has to start with the default story.  I'm not worried.

I'm browsing through the comments here, and I'm some confusion. I think the majority of the posters here are not mad about the ps3 announcement we're disappointed for a couple of reasons.



1. EA is ALWAYS about money, and if this means making exclusives for each system, they'll do it. Let's just hope those exclusives are costumes or weapons, not game play missions.



2. There's been no mention of the Liara DLC. Now you can make all the fuss you want about us complaining about it and so on and so forth, or how we're "lucky to even have DLC," but the fact remains that Bioware could at least give us a window. Hell, I'd even accept a "Fall 2010" release date, at least we'd have a period where it could be released.



Having said that, if there's one benefit that PS3 users can look forward to when this game is released, it's that it'll be on one disc. I don't know about any of you,but I really hate switching discs. I know you only do it once during the main game, but still, it'd be nice to not have to do it at all.

That pretty much confirms it:

My theory is that this "hours of bonus content" they're advertising will be like a 3-4 hour "pre-ME2 mission" that'll make it possible for the players to make the choices of ME1 they want for ME2. Kinda like a condensed, crappier ME1.

Otherwise, they'll have to create a "canon" for the PS3 players that they can't opt out of. PS3 players with no possibility Wrex would cause riots.

None, why should it, itll make Bioware work harder for less money. It isnt owned by Sony its owned by EA. And EA wants the most money, hence the most platforms it will be sold to. You guys really arent looking at this in a logical way. When has EA released anything specific to a platform. Honestly I dont know cause Im a PC gamer and console wars are dumb.

As for the price and included DLC, ya of course it will have it. Because they had to wait a goddam year for it. Its like FO3. The GOTY edition is half price, why, because the games a year old. Its business, not betraying their clients. And besides with this hate Bioware is getting I would love, personally, that they throw in something spiteful

DLC you can probably get for the same price with the game in January 2011, when this thing will be released. Let's not forget how much longer we've gotten to enjoy the games here, that's worth a lot of money to me (in fact, the price of an x360, me1, me2 and ALL the DLC, to be exact) 

Too bad we didn't get an announcement, but I guess it's the old "date will be posted immediately after the DLC clears approvals" system that was initiated after the Ostagar disaster.
