And what about folks who wont be ABLE to buy it? Seems like we are not in the Bioware DLC plans anymore. My question was ignored so i suppose that we are screwed anyway.

IGN have it wrong for sure as previously Bioware had stated that the Shadow Broker DLC would follow shortly after the weapon pack, yes Bioware has some warped idea of time but still, shortly after is liek 2/3 maybe even 4 weeks not a almost 2 months after the pack is released. plus don't forget Gamescom is currently happening so i am guessing we'll here about it over the next 2 days for a release on the 24th give or take a few days, who knows maybe they'll even bring it out during Gamescom who knows but as i said Gamescom is more than likely going to be where we hear some kind of ME2 related news most liekly related to Shadow Broker DLC

They said the english version is availble in those areas that were affected before. Hope this helps:wizard:

And you have a degree marketing do you???? Dude their marketing isn't poor, yes it is annoying we hear like that it is coming and then we hear no further details, but it is my guess (as i too don't have a degree in marketing i can't say for sure) that this style of marketing creates rumours which essentially does the marketing for you, no need for trailers no need for spending cash on promoting it, you just give the public a glimpse of it and then because its only a glimpse multiple rumours get created for instance the mass speculation of who the shadow broker is and whether we will get any kind of weapons or armor with it, even speculation as to the cost, whether it wil be cerberus network or not, through these sales tactics using word of mouth the product sells itself, just saying mate, their marketing aint bad, in fact it's good marketing, just a tad.... very annoying for us fans

I myself am in business so I have some degree of knowledge here. I agree in that releasing little info and announcing it early will advertise itself for you with rumours, speculation, etc. but there is a point where that can fail if info is released to early and with little information. In the begining yes people were saying who the SB is, is Liara going to be a squadmate, etc. People are expecting this to be an expansion type game when in reality it will most likely be something along the lines of 1-2 hours of extra gameplay. The lack of info will lead people to think bigger and bigger so when it's released many fans will be disappointed.

Next is the timing issue. Everything that can be speculated on has already been speculated. There is no more to talk about and with no news coming out people are getting restless. The effect of generating buzz is now generating dissent and frustration.
 
What Bioware should've done was trickle little bits of info every week or so (maybe 2) to keep the audience interested and speculating while allowing them to slowly put the pieces together. Instead it's grown stagnant and is just growing mold IMHO.

hows this. if the dlc is after the suicide mission and you lost people then she will take a place there if you didnt then she will resume her work until you need her (in ME 3)

I think they may have let it get a little stagnant agreed, but only just a little bit, however i think the reason they have done this is because they are waiting to announce more stuff at Gamescom where not only ME purist fans will be watching but loads of other people that wouldnt usually check up on the mass effect forums but are still passionate about gaming would be able to find out about the DLC and then investigate what all this fuss about mass effect is. as i said i have no knowledge of the marketing business (unless you count trying to make it in a band XD) but to me it seems like a logical idea.

There are plenty of places Liara could go on the Normandy.   

- She could be positioned at one of the MANY console stations surrounding the galaxy map on the CIC
- There's some room in the Tech Lab with Mordin
- Then there's the Hanger Deck
