Officially: no. The Central European version of ME2 does not contain the English language files so it can't be installed this way. Of course you can download them from the net, copy them to the proper subfolder and edit a line in an .ini file to play in English - which is a "must do" if you played for example ME1 in Hungarian and you try ME2 in Hungarian which has some awkward translation issues...

BTW: BioWare's scams against other countries are probably the only things in Canada's history that affected other countries.

Hmm i have all the files in english and polish in my ME2, even though i did not downloaded them from net. I can have full english version, with voices and subtitles, just by changing two "POL" values to "INT" in the main localization file. (i renamed polish subtitles files, so that i have english speech and polish subtitles).

Worst case scenario: Download the razor1911 version, use your legit key and you can be 100% sure that the DLC will work. Though I think EA DM version will do just fine anyways.

Really, what's so different about this dlc's structure that it **** s up localised version? Previous worked fine, and the upcoming not? Will it be the same with any future dlcs?
BIOWARE, some of us invested in the ongoing experience, waiting for those bridging addons/expansions and ME3 itself. Are you saying we will be deprived of this until ME3 comes out (if Liara dlc wont work how will you make oters compatible in months to come)? Tell me, what is the reason for sticking with your brand in the future?Will I have to jump hoops to make DA2 work? Will ME3 be availabe in Poland?

You give an impression Poland and other cental european countries are 3rd world countries at the dead ass end of space. If not for the great comunity and helpful people who manage to make things work for others you'd have sh!t, or even less, I hope you realise that.

Didnt they say it was technically impossible to fix the text? Yet they did it anyway. Fail.



Although if all that's needed ot play the liara DLC is an english version of the game, then those in the screwed over countries should DL the english version, then get the DLC.



However, the above posters are completely right when they say that itll be pirated in less than a week and it will be fully complatible.

 Christina Norman announced on Twitter that the guns will be in a not yet announced DLC that will be released prior to the Shadow broker DLC. Calm down.

What really is shameful is that razor will solve the problem for them in less than a week while their own coders try to persuade us otherwise...

Pure specualtion, but it may be the way the dlc is triggered.  Instead of getting an email from TIM to trigger the mission, it may be woven into the storyline.  The scenes w/ Liara in  ME2 always did feel unfinished.  Just speculation though.

Alright, but some ppl WANT this DLC, and finishing it. They want to know what  happened there ( or what will happen ).I need to watch it on youtube, because the DLC will not work in mid Europe? Geez...

This is not true. Full English dialogue and subtitles are included on the disc, they simply cannot be selected during installation process. You can either edit INI file to get English voices + Polish subs, or copy additional INT file from English version to have everything in English. The file itself is approx. 1.5MB.

There are two steps necessary to "delocalize" PL version back to ENG.

1. Copy BioGame_INT.tlk file to BIOGAME/CookedPC (no need to delete localized BIoGame file).
2. Change sku file (ME2/Data file) in desired option (both as INT or sound INT and subs proper for localized version).

And from now we have original or half localized FULLY WORKED (4 full runs after this operation speaks for themself in my case) version of ME2...
