I don't know if this has been spoken about but It doesn't look like Liara will join as a squadmate.

I was hoping we'd get her as a temp. squadmate, like this could work as her loyality mission.. but we see the screenshot of the squad plus Liara so I guess she'll just kind of be along for the ride.. hmm. Still excited tho'.

Same here. I heard that the squad is complete now, and they will be used in future DLC?

Will it be this one? Hope so, as that increases the likelihood that its a substantial pack that lasts a long time, and can perhaps start to address certain problems some of us have with the game.

Seriously though I am pleased with this announcement. I hope this will be a fairly long addition to the story compared to other DLC's and I also hope it will directly impact the ongoing Mass Effect Universe.

I hope so too for their sake. While I haven't played a Shepard that went this route, I'm sure many others did. Closure for that romance would be nice. I am surprised this story arc is being handled as DLC, but I suppose dealing with it now makes sense. Unless the Shadow Broker gets away.

I'm sure something will happen that will let him get away. Unless this is one hell of an "expansion (Chris, I hope you didn't use a poor choice of words here)" it would seem strange to try and handle a big villain like the Shadow Broker in some little DLC.

I doubt Liara will accompany Shepard on the mission as a squadmate, seeing as how in a screenshot Shepard is already seen with Tali and Garrus. I think Liara will work off screen, like how they handled the Suicide Mission. Liara will give Shepard orders, Liara will pop in a cutscene, Liara will pop out when cutscene is over.



I would love to be proved wrong though.

As for the dialogue. I'm willing to bet Bioware had this scripted when the original voice work was done, so my money is that they already had everything recorded for the banter and conversations so they wouldn't have to pull the voice cast back in. I could be completely wrong on that count though.

I agree about the dialogue.  I seem to remember a while back someone had posted on YouTube some soundbytes of Liara talking about the Shadow Broker,  So more than likely the cast has already recorded some dialogue for this.

Plus the new hand pistol and assault rifle and possibly a new shotgun??

well this is good news..not a fan of Liara...but a fan of the story...i hope we get to kill the Shadowbroker...in a vicious explosive...destructive fight....with Liara in the midlle of it...well as long as it has a good story and things to explode/people to kill i will be happy..

Yeah, but the clips we heard were... kind of weak, IMO. I really hope they pulled them back in, honestly.
