I am glad to see that people are still rightly outraged at Biowares "solution" to the localisation problems for Poland/Hungary/Czech.  I would love to be talking about the Liara and the DLC but right now this is the most pressing issue that needs sorting out.  Bioware's solution to the problem "you aint getting the DLC" is NOT a solution it is a cop out and it is way below Biowares "standards".

As those that are affected by this have said, they would be happy to have NON-localised DLC for their game.  This obviously isn't a perfect solution but it is a better solution than not giving them the DLC at all.  I don't see any technical reason why they cannot get the non-localised DLC to work with Polish/Hungary/Czech copies.  If there is some bizarre "technical" issue as to why they can't do it then the quality standards at Bioware can't be that damn high in the first place.

It is absolutely ridiculous that Bioware think "not giving them the DLC" is an adequate solution.  If you value your good name Bioware and you value people's custom (in every country) then you will get this issue sorted so that ALL ME fans can play this DLC.

I couldn't agree more. And I think that there isn't a problem that wizards from BioWare couldn't solve.
I hope they'll think about this, and they'll find a solution. I won't mind if the DLC will be late, just let it work properly.
You can even relese it in English, community can fix it.

Illium makes sense, there and the Citadel has a car transport terminal so many locations could be added. These should take less resources to do than making a new cluster or system or some multiple of these.

so? let just assume this: BW mades the DLC download-to-all who will pay option as usual but implement language-check into DLC installer
is it a possible scenario or just wild speculation?

That is a pretty crappy attitude to take 2kgnsiika, I live in the UK and this issue doesn't affect me one bit but even I can understand why it is important to back Polish/Hungary/Czech ME fans on this.  If you had noticed the people posting on here are not complaining about the DLC not being localised they are complaining they are not getting the DLC at all.

How would you feel if Bioware said "ah yes Finland well we can't localise the DLC so we won't bother releasing the DLC in Finland at all" ?  I bet you wouldn't be pleased as punch at that decision would you ?  The people posting in here have said "forget the localisation and just release the English version" but Bioware for some strange reason are claiming it is impossible to do that.

doesm't hit that all earlier dlc worked fine and now, this one probably the most important one, cause it hits main plot, got suddenly tech problems. i smell conspiracy. maybe mid euro sales were bad and now they probe is me still popular and is it still profitable to prepare dlc for it? yay or nay for the idea?

In many cases main publisher (like EA) practicly force local publisher to full localize game and right now it's really rare cases when local publishers are allowed to set up option to chose instalation of original version.

In case of ME 2 we get pure localized game without any chance to made switch to english version during installation.

it's really sat to see that they are incapable to aswer at one simple question to calm down this storm.

Will be area IP lock on DLC download or NOT?

Why is so hard to get answer on that ?

Well, technically, buying a copy of the main game gives you no legal authority to owning all released DLC, and BioWare are technically under no legal obligation to offer post-game DLC to everyone who bought the game.

But that's just a technicality. Really, I think this is pretty poor form, and as much as BioWare are saying that they couldn't do it I just dont believe them. I dont understand what, exactly, would cause such a big problem with localisation that it would literally break the game.

it may still be a marketing scam. a week or two they'll say that " as we are very gratefull to our faitful fans. we worked up and fix the problem with dlc BLah blah blah". and if not we can all send them a gift from mid euro fans which would contain ANAL DILDOS SO THEY CAN F**K THEMSELVES!!!

For examle in Russia first ME was dubbed only half year later after the game release (in first edition only subtitles were translated) and everyone who bought it agreed that it was bad idea. So second game was released only with translated subtitles, and we can hear ideal  character`s voices, so EA Russia has no problems with localisation, i thought they did the same thing for every other country.

if I in poland would have a choice i'd buy an EN game from the start -but instead i had to walk trough forums and  finaly thanks to Asheer-Kan [i may have misspelled the name] i was able to do a little fiddle with the game to make it ENGLISH
and that's a surprise 4 ya all-the english language files were in the localised game ALL TIME i din't have to add ANY FILES just change .INI FILE 
so i say to all-lets protest everyone and set our games to english in sign of protest!
