Still do not see what is the problem.
a) if you have PC, you can download international english version from EAyou can always grab pirated version for either PC or console as well as the DLC
That means, you are not losing anything, EA/BioWare are losing money.
So you think it is an ideal solution for people that have purchased the game to resort to illegal means to play this content and you can't see the problem ? Well for a starters not every one has a "hacked" xbox and it isn't something that should be encouraged either. What do you suggest those with a "non-hacked" xbox should do then ? Perhaps they should endanger their xbox by trying to hack it ?
None of the solutions posted on this board so far are worth diddly squat what is needed is for Bioware to realise they are being less than honourable here and at the very least arrange to have the DLC released in the affected regions even if it means the DLC is non-localised (and don't give people bull that it can't be "done").

How is it the "best available solution" if the thousands of legitimate Xbox users that don't have a "hacked" xbox can't use these solutions ? It also doesn't help coming on this board and encouraging people to "pirate" Bioware's work.
Well, at least SOME of them will be able to play it. Better than NOTHING.
I do not encourage anyone, everyone knows games are pirated.
And in this case, a lousy pirate will play this DLC while legit customer is royally screwed.
charmingcharlie wrote...I am on people's side about this, but we need to make sure our complaints
have merit and don't dilute them with "oh well steal it then". We need
to show Bioware that they have made a mistake and they must rectify it,
that is the best available solution.
Well that is how it should be, I would love to be talkinga bout Liara and this DLC but in my mind the way Biwoare is treating middle European territories is absolutely disgusting and it should be the "most talked about thing". The reason why this topic is being flooded with these comments is also down to BIoware. Someone tried to start a topic on middle Europe getting the shaft but a mod closed it and told us to discuss it here.
I agree. I am a Czech after all. But BW should realize that in the end, they lose the most.

as new page comes let me repeat:
more we complain about this [LOSB] -the bigger the chance it will get fixed!
so: RIOT MOAR EUROPEANS!

Then RIOT!
Also: We have the same rights to buy the DLCs as anyone else who bought their game in other than the four affected countries. If the BioWare can't make it compatible with the versions they released in these countries then they should provide us perfectly DLC compatible versions... I don't mind if it's not localised, I just want to buy the DLC legally, play it legally, and all I ask is a legal way, a solution, a suggestion, or anything that helps us to play this, and the future DLCs. Buying a localised product in our local store is not our fault. We couldn't see this problem was coming...

If it's the audio making it too big for the X-Box DLC size limitation, ( that a previous poster speculated about ), then why couldn't they release it in several parts? Paid for DLC for the main part and then free Cerberus Network voice packs for the localisation?
And if it isn't the voices, then what the heck else could it be?

I have no problems with English language, I play all my games in English if I can help it. In case of ME2 CE we were fooled into believing that PC version will have English VO. After I learned it has Polish it took me 5 minutes to change it into 100% English.
The problem people see is possible IP lock for the DLC, meaning I won't even be able to buy it not because of my ME2 version, but because of where I live.
Because I want to help Bioware I prepared a sample response they can use to clear the mess:
"Dear Bioware Fans,
We admit, we screwed up. We really don't give a crap about Central/Eastern Europe (lolz, there is more than one Europe!), but you are really annoying bunch! I mean, it took us 2 minutes to write first response in Notepad, we thought this will solve the matter. Damn it, ungrateful bastards, you **** and moan and demand explanation...
Fine, just for you to STFU - English DLC will be available for all of you living in some crap place at the outskirts of Europe.
Regards,
Bioware"

I'm on a Blackberry, so sifting coherently through 60 pages isn't plausible at the moment - my main questions are which countries are affected, and by what exactly? What's the problem? I understand if these q's have been flogged to death, so even just a link to the relevant thread page would be a great help. Thanks.
No one knows whats the problem.
Officially it's caused by "technical issues"...
Goddamn excuse if you ask me.

So, the rest of the countries can download and play the new DLC right now, but those four countries can't, because of a "technical issue"?
