To ppl saying we can just download ENG version using EA Manager and/or learn English:

I have no problems with English language, I play all my games in English if I can help it. In case of ME2 CE we were fooled into believing that PC version will have English VO. After I learned it has Polish it took me 5 minutes to change it into 100% English.

The problem people see is possible IP lock for the DLC, meaning I won't even be able to buy it not because of my ME2 version, but because of where I live.

Because I want to help Bioware I prepared a sample response they can use to clear the mess:

"Dear Bioware Fans,

We admit, we screwed up. We really don't give a crap about Central/Eastern Europe (lolz, there is more than one Europe!), but you are really annoying bunch! I mean, it took us 2 minutes to write first response in Notepad, we thought this will solve the matter. Damn it, ungrateful bastards, you **** and moan and demand explanation...

Fine, just for you to STFU - English DLC will be available for all of you living in some crap place at the outskirts of Europe.

Regards,
Bioware"

I would not worry about that. You will be able to buy it via this site without any problems. There is no IP restriction on this site - where you buy it. EA/BioWare is not that stupid to assume that everyone from the 4 countries have the same version.

So, the rest of the countries can download and play the new DLC right now, but those four countries can't, because of a "technical issue"?

Exactly, that's what BioW says

Not *right now* though, but rather in a few weeks time, if I got that right.

You guys understand that making mockery of Bioware and making demands impolitely won't help your case right, and I say it with all my support for you.

I am wondering if we can consider our bought games as "damaged product" and return them. Wishful thinking...

And @Creid-X : yeah... I'm sorry for my people even if that doesn't change anything... You know, kids these days...

But it also won't help their case if they sit back and do nothing at all. I live in the UK, but I still support them and think that what Bioware/EA has done is wrong.

I'm not living in any of the affected regions (Sweden, only eng. versions here) but I don't get the reason why only 4 countries/languages is affected by this. Shouldn't it affect France, Germany, Italy, Spain and other localized versions also? Or am I missing something?

Ok, so if I can't (I'm in the UK) go and download/play the DLC *right now*, then what's the problem? Isn't it possible for Bioware to fix the issue in the time before the release? Or have they said they can't/wont? Or, is it available right now? I hate not having access to my Xbox right now.

Yeah, well I don't want to be antagonistic here of anything.
I understand you are not pleased with these news as I would be if this was the case in my country, but if you want to be taken in notice, making demands on capitals in every page and making mockery of the developers is not really helping you.
if you want to be taken seriously be polite, and instead of demands make suggestions as the mods have said hundreds of times in many post in the forums.
I think Bioware is likely to take you in a more serious light if you work as an organized group fighting for your ideals instead of an angry mob (NOT saying you're acting like that, but it surely seems to be going towards that way)

Fair point, but the fact is that Bioware aren't answering any of their questions and worries, whether asked poliely or not.

Not all, certainly but whatever little they will read it certainly won't help if all are demands and antagonism towards them, it's just common sense, no one likes that

Well, they obviously reserve the right to respond to their fans when they see fit, they're in their right, I understand that people is getting impatient but that simply is how the world works.

Sometimes, aggressive attidue is actually kinda effective too. Some are more polite than others, so BW gets the same message in two versions - please fix it and get your heads outta your asses. Which one works, if any at all, is to be seen!

If I click on that link it says:

ERROR
Sorry, this news article is unavailable.

To me that means that the link is broken. If I click on the Lair-DLC I get the article.

With having read only a very small fraction of this thread, I am under the impression that in some countries in continental europe the new DLC won't be available.
Everyone else should be able to purchase it. But it has not been released yet, only announced, so don't worry if you can't download it right now.

Correct me, if I misunderstood something.

Yes, they do have that right, and I would expect some developers/publishers not to respond (cough, Activision, cough), but Bioware have always appeared to me as being the kind of developers that listen to their fans and are willing to actually try make the DLC compatible with those four localised versions. But with this announcement, they just don't appear to be a community-friendly company.

People who bought polish, czech, hungarian and slovak(?) version of the game.
How? Unable to play this DLC at all.
Why? Mysterious technical issues.
