Well, technically you already got the full experience of the game you paid for.

Unfortunately, you're not getting some additional, supplementary, bonus experience. But you're not paying for it either. It's not included in what you've already paid for. So no, they don't owe you it. Sorry. You have my sympathy, really.

Okay, and what to do with the already purchased BioWare points? Will BioWare pay the price back for the affected countries, if they have any already purchased BW points? Many of us in these countries bought those points because BioWare promised the DLCs. Nobody could even imagine this kind of problems...

Yap. I'd rather not see the reaction to "Hey guys, some of you will get a broken product." Besides it's just as much about the beauty of their work, as it is about their costumers.

I am sorry could you point to the "beauty of their work" when they are excluding a massive slice of ME fans from this content because they cannot integrate this DLC into their own game.  I don't know call me old fashioned but making a product where a lot of your customers are now excluded because Bioware themselves cannot find away to add DLC they have created doesn't come across as "beautiful piece of work".

RIght at this moment I take Bioware's "quality standards" with a massive truck load of salt.

I have no way of knowing if this is the case here, but many an artist vanity might cause him to destroy a work of art, just because it is flawed in some small and subtle way, not even visible to anyone else. That is what I meant.

This is unbelievable. First they dont release Leliana´s Song in our languages ( cz, sk, po and hu)... and now they even dont sell us english version??? what the hell Bioware. I really thought you are decent company, but with these steps you will loose lots of fans and customers... a lot!

If you will not fix it, you will definitely loose customers and money...

And your silly excuses about "technical problem" thats just bull***t, it really is. You can make whole game and all other DLC in those languages, and now you magically cant? Sorry but if you will not fix it you suck Bioware!

End of line

I am seriously of the opinion that if EA/Bioware/whoever could do something about this, and fix it, then they would. Why the hell wouldn't they? Are some of you trying to tell me they WANT to lose customer's trust/respect? Customers in general? And, the biggest factor for them, of course, customer's money? I can't honestly agree with anyone who thinks this is 'poor show' on their behalf, because they have obviously exhausted every path and window of opportunity - they are the biggest losers in this situation. Sure, some people won't be able to get the DLC, but they can carry on living. EA lose money - the only reason they still exist.

I think, more often than not, people are more than happy to point the finger, without seriously thinking about it. EA don't gain ANYTHING as a result of this - so why the hell would they instigate it?

So why don't they say what is the problem?
I'm 100% sure that modders could solve it.

You know how few really good video-game corps there are? You'll need only one hand to count them all. Their knowhow is their wealth. Why give it away. Why support illegal modifications? Finally, it *might* take a while to explain, why it doesn't work. Who are they, teachers? You seem to think they owe you something.

Actually Civilization 5 is developed by not Firaxis developing team but selected from CIV fansite best modders  which created many great mods and fixes many in game bugs unseen by original develoing team.

But right  now key question is "Will mid-Europe be IP locked from downloading English version of DLC or NOT"
However if IP lock won't be a case then this will solve problem for PC users where language modification is possible but console users will still be unable to play untill someone will crack this DLC (sorry Bioware but you ask yourself for this) making him available for console users...

But it's pitty that fans must search such "unconventional" ways to be able to enjoy games...

"...In the end, unfortunately, we were unable

to come to a solution which allowed us to release this content in these

territories and keep the same level of quality from the main game." ....so it means it is technically possible to make it work but because of some "level quality reason" its supposedely not.....the only thing that came to my mind is that shadow broker speaks czech/slovak/... and it would spoil the story if we understand...

It could be equally argued that Bioware not releasing this DLC to a large section of the community is destroying their work.  Not only is it ruining any hype or anticipation with regard to the DLC, but it is ruining and destroying people's appreciation of ME 2 and will impact on people's appreciation of ME 3.

So they claim that they couldn't find a way to release the DLC without impacting on the quality of the main game.  Well I have to say from where I am standing NOT releasing the DLC is doing a far better job of impacting on the quality of the game.

I personally would say a much better solution would be to use the best work around they have.  I really cannot understand what is so "different" about the 4 European copies of ME 2 that makes them incompatible with everyone else's copy on the planet.

It is imperative that Bioware fixes this problem NOW, this DLC will not be the last DLC and so will this mean all the DLC from now on will not work with Polish, Hungary, Czech versions of the game.

They will never tell us, you will see, at best they will come with some "excuse" again. They never really tells you anything.

Anyway if they will not correct this situation, and give us DLCs (and I mean DA and ME2) in all languages they´ll make lots and lots of people angry and lost thousands of customers in process...
I myself was going to buy all DLCs and DA2 and ME3 but if this is the way they want continue Iam done with Bioware and will never buy anything from them again. And I have that feeling I´ll not be alone.

It cant be so hard to do what they claim to be so hard, they´re just lazy or dont care... too bad...this isnt the right way to threat your customers and fans Bioware! Wake up!

I'm so fed up of people b*tching about the one reason we all come to this damn forum. Bioware obviously are embarrassed by the fact they can't fix a problem in their own program - but some of you are actually managing to feel *victimised* over this? At least they *tried* to put it in these different languages. If you think it's so easy to just fix up some new code and they're away, hell I'd love to see you do it. If the developers of the software can't, all the good luck in the f*cking world to you.

Oh, and before anyone starts going on about "will we even be able to buy the english version?", all opinions on this are pretty redundant until we find out what actually happens, when it happens.

Sorry if I come across a little angry, or text-wall a lot, it's just I get really pissed off when people are so quick to sing Bioware's faults when all they exist to do is provide us with entertainment. And it's not as if they're not doing their job, because last time I checked, we're all still here...

I think you might find customers that purchased the Polish, Hungary, Czech and Slovenia version of Mass Effect 2  would disagree with you there that Bioware are "doing their job ".  I think customers from those 4 territories are pretty much thinking right now that Bioware are certainly NOT doing their job.

I don't want to be on here moaning about Bioware, I want to be on here talking about the Liara DLC and how much fun it is going to be.  However yet again another technical **** up on BIoware's part has tarnished it all.  There is simply no excuse for them to release a game in these territories that is unable to handle this new DLC.

I seriously can't even believe this is an issue in this day and age.  The 4 territories in question have been able to access all the DLC so far and now all of a sudden it's "whoops sorry folks, game over for you guys".  This is extremely sloppy workmanship if you ask me and every ME fan should be behind the fans in these territories, not belittling them and finding fault with them.

And that's the problem with this DLC-bull****. You'll never have the full experience unless you buy DLC. Seriously, they screw up. Not even letting people buy the US version? What-the-hell? That's some disrespect at the consummer.

Makes me wonder if it's possible to sue over this.

To Bioware:  I honestly don't believe that Bioware has considered "all" options in resolving the mid/eastern European 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' DLC issues.  If a fix is absolutely unable to accomplish, then other areas of comprimise/compensation have to be considered.  Afterall, these folks have helped as much as any other area to amass the customer base that Bioware has enjoyed up to this point.  These folks paid hard earned money to purchase localised versions of Mass Effect with confidence that their versions would be fully supported as it has in the past.  I personally would very much appreciate it you would gather around the 'Roundtable' once more to hash out this issue to see if some comprimise/compensaton could be achieved.  Business wise, a positive approach accomplishing this would result in gaining back dedicated customers that at this time you have a chance of losing.  And also, in gaining new customers from around the world for showing a good faith offering to your existing customers in the 4 countries involved.  Having the reputation of being 'faithful' to your customers sometimes comes with high demands that should have been taken into consideration in the beginning.  I, and I'm pretty sure I speak for some part of the Bioware customer base, would be sincerely grateful for you considering this suggestion and for any positive outcome for the people of the countries involved.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

First, everyone who is upset enough about this to write a comment in this forum, is upset because Bioware did their job. If they hadn't he or she wouldn't care. So YES Bioware are good at what they are doing. We are on page 64.

Second, if you don't want to be moaning than just don't.

Third, and this is not the first time this is said here, what makes you think that you have enough insight to determine whether Bioware found the best possible, practical solution?

This was a rhetorical question.

I apoligize if this has been posted already, but here is a brief article hinting at "an unmentionable secret for LotS". My guess is that Liara will join Shepard's crew; an optimistic view of course, but hey, one can dream right?
