Why my game is worse than yours?

I'll make it easy.

In that case it means the same.
Well if my car doesn't have wheels and your does you can say that my car is different, and it is. But it's also worse.
It's like with square and rectangle.
Different doesn't always means worse, but worse always means different.

Only difference between original ME 2 and localized ME 2 IS LOCALIZATION which can be pretty easy neutralized when comes to PC version

From what i read pure english version have about 2.5 GB size... so can you dear mister genious explain me why my ME 2 catalog have over 17GB size???? (FULLY legal game bought in retailer)

No. This happens all the time. Windows have released games that, if you're still running Windows 95, won't run. Windows is most definitely not broken, it's just not compatible. Something has stopped the two working.

So you are saying we should buy a new Mass Effect 2, which is compatible with the DLCs. Because if I have Win 95 and I have a game which runs only on XP, I have to buy an XP, right?

Well... a true Quarian could make Win7 out of Win95, or would at least make 95 work like 7 :P

Let's quickly clear up that I'm female. And I have absolutely no idea how to clear up your problem. And apparently neither do Bioware. Hence the decision to not release the DLC. End.

You are a true idiot.  A better anology would be that we both buy an American car.  Later the manufacturer also decides to make a GPS unit but they only release it in my country because 'technical reason x' made it impossible to release in your country.

You didn't lose value in your car, you didn't magically pay for less of a car...

Technical reason X could be that they only have licenses for certain languages for the GPS voice or maybe only North American Maps!

I have never seen a person more deserving of getting banned.  Complete flamer!

There is one more thing what put this whole "different version" out of question.

If i would poses this so called different to original English version of the game then i wouldn't be able to install latest ENGLISH patch to ME 2 because patcher will simply abort installation claiming that i have actually non English version of the game.

How you explain this????

Should've left your post at just that.

But I agree with what I quoted. MUCH better analogy.

Well you don't need to offend me, that can be benned too. And If you ask me calling someone "treu idiot" it's a lot like "deserving of gettin' banned".
But that reason can be easily solved, and if it's not that means that the car manufactuer crew are buch of lazyass.
Do you suggest that BioWare is a bunch of lazyass?

Honestly this happens all the time. As a fan of Japanese games there is mountains of content we have never gotten because the companies either did not localize it or ran into "localization issues", but its still bull****. I mean look at Yakuza 3. Epic BS from Sega really.

If I'm not mistaken, you're the one calling Bioware "a bunch of lazyass" for not fixing this apparently common-sensical' problem. :?

See, this is what a flaming troll does.  Two links because you are both!

I didn't say anything bad about Bioware.  They may not have thought the investment to deploy to all countries could be worth it.  Or who knows, maybe its in development still for other countries.

I am going to try to explain this simply. Arguing to people on this forum is not going to fix this problem nor will it make the lead code writer to come on these forums, on a Saturday night, to give you the technically reasons why they cant release it those regions.

You obviously don't know anything about writing code, so don't assume that there is some way of fixing this problem when the professionals have already said they can't.

It's amazing the type of conspiracy theories people can come up with in such a short amount of time. Boy this is a good read.

If you don't know the problem you can't say weather it's true or not.
If this problem can be easily solved then in BW are working lazy people, you must agree.
I'm not calling BW bunch of lazyass since I don't know the character of the problem, which is my point in all of this, when someone from BW will comment on this (as i said above), and help ti find a solution it will be ok.
Now I belive every next post in this discussion will be pointles.

class starts in a few weeks, I don't want to talk about it. I thought it would be an improvement when i switched from physics but CS is its own kind of monster.

I would argue with the term "professionals" if they lack the ability to fix flaws in their own product but hey I am old fashioned that way.  I have to say I am re-evaulating whether I want to carry on supporting the Mass Effect franchise myself.  This issue doesn't really affect me since I live in the UK.  However the kind of support and lack of professionalism that BIoware has shown with this issue really absolutely amazes me.

I never thought I would see a company treat it's users with such contempt and yes I would say releasing a "hey guys we tried, couldn't fix it, tough luck, bye" statement is pretty contemptuous towards it's user base.  I am really starting to wonder where BIoware got this rep as being a "premier" developer.  This DLC mess should never have happened and it really highlights severe short comings in a company that cannot fix their own product.

Closest thing I've been to coding is actionscript, and uscript. It's pretty hard to memorize, unless you're using it often. Haven't touch neither in a while. So I can't even imagine computer science. The stuff I've listed above is probably nothing in comparison. Anyways, back OT.

More than half the people here don't even have a basic understanding of game development. Especially with the top engine in the industry. Can't exactly expect them to, but still it's annoying when they answer everything with "patch it" or something. "patch the helmet toggle" "patch the removable parts" etc...

Their ignorance is the base of their assumptions. If they knew the process, they wouldn't be saying half of the stuff they're saying here.

Goodnight and peace!
