The discussion about the DLC not coming to 4 territories is very much "on topic" as a mod has indicated.  A thread to discuss the subject of this DLC not coming to the 4 territories was made and a mod CLOSED it.  We were then told to come here and discuss the issue.  So I would say that talking about the 4 territories not getting the DLC is considered on topic by the mods.  I shall repeat the link so you can see for yourself :-

We get that its on topic, but its annoying trying to talk about how we can't wait for this DLC to come, or what we think it will consist of, when people keep bringing up that its not coming to 4 countries.

We get it. It sucks. But you've gotta wait for the weekdays before getting a real response anyway.

3mii people have every right to discuss the issue of the 4 territories being blocked on this forum. This is a topic to discuss the DLC and issues relating to the DLC the fact four territories are not going to get this DLC is an issue surrounding the DLC and as indicated by a moderator this is the place to discuss it.

@ Wehrmacht007 - apparently Poland, Hungary, Czech and Slovenia copies of Mass Effect 2 are "incompatible" with the new DLC and Bioware are unable to fix their own game to make it compatible. So any one with those versions of the game will not be able to play the new Liara DLC

Seriously. IDK if you've noticed or no, but nobody from Bioware, including mods usually, are here on the weekends. Especially since comic con. Give it time. You guys demand an explanation as if your entitled to it. If Bioware's the mean company your trying to portray them as, they wouldn't have issued an apology in the first place. They would have gotten you hyped up for the DLC only to deny it to those 4 countries on the release date. Cut them some slack. It's sad that you guys won't be able to get it, but let them at least explain before you start bashing the company. Right now, this discussion is going nowhere at all. Its just repeating itself. Stop arguing over it and just wait for a response from Bioware.

Thanks for clearing it up. That's very odd on their part and frustrating for loyal fans in those regions. Could they patch it up by the time the DLC is released because I've heard no solid date or have they just said "won't work, won't fix it"?

Edit: NVM Polite cleared my Q's. I'm sure Bioware will fix it.

OK, so I've literally had it with this whole 'let's rape Bioware for what they've done to us!' mentality, so I swear from this post on, as a supporter of this DLC who's very much looking forward to it, that I will not engage in any sort of argument or debate with anyone about/regarding/concerning the technical issues Bioware are facing, in a bid to save this rubbish-stricken thread from the depths of Hell and *somehow* drag it back on topic. People hating on Bioware at the moment, you've made your groups and discussion boards, so please take all your rants and expletives there.

Bioware tried - Bioware failed - end of story. Any future correspondence between the community and Bioware is just that - FUTURE. To be discussed in the future, when we can all see it, 'black and white' (or dark and light grey).

DLC: I really do hope Liara becomes recruitable at the end of it, but I also kind of like the idea of her not being recruitable until ME3, because of some unforseen circumstance. What I mean is, she becomes injured or something at the end of the DLC, thus she's on the Normandy but unable to cooperate with Shepard/any crew members until ME3, where (as time went on) she could have recovered. I feel that might leave a little bit more suspence for Liara LI fans - she may/may not hint at a rekindling of the relationship (romantically, if you so chose to have one) throughout the mission, yet just as you're about to attain your ... priiiiiize ... you're shot down in flames.

But who knows.

I agree. I am also aware that the discussion about the four territories is on topic. However it is not tasteful nor constructive. Instead you want to bury the people who are actually trying to discuss the DLC in the same hate posts over and over again. To me that spells spam and very nearly flaming. So if you are going to hate on Bioware please try to keep it tasteful. I am also seeing a lot of you people asking those of us who are just trying to discuss the DLC to support you. I might have supported you if I hadn't seen around 60 pages of hate in just around 2 days coming from your side.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Your side has every right to be upset and to feel slightly wronged. However due to the way you people are acting I am getting very close to not caring at all. It's kind of like the Krogan being victims of the Genophage, yet a lot of people aren't upset by it because of the attitude of many of the Krogan who just want to kill those that wronged them. I sympathize with Wrex and Urdnot because of how they are handling the situation. I do not sympathize with Weyrloc or Uvenk because of their terrible attitudes concerning the situation. As far as this situation goes I sympathize with certain people who are being civil and rational, but I do not sympathize with the majority of you.

As for the Liara DLC I just hope it's fun and has a good story. If it doesn't have a good story I will be very, very disappointed.

Exactly. So...... What do you guys think the big surprise is for this DLC that they won't reveal at all? I'm quite curious as to what it could possibly be. The wait is going to be long. Posted Image

I'm hoping the surprise is the virmire survivor and wrex come out and help in a very chaotic and dangerous situation.

Hoping.

All I am seeing is that people want to discuss the issue of this DLC not being available in the 4 territories in question.  I don't see anyone trying to drown talk about the DLC it seems a lot on here are more concerned with the fact a great many fans will miss out on this DLC and they want to talk about it whether Bioware is present or not.

A topic was created to discuss this issue and it was closed and we were directed here and told in no uncertain terms to discuss the issue in this thread.

There is a second liara DLC topic here :-

http://social.biowar...3/index/3202098

That people interested in discussion of  just the actual DLC could use.  You will find there is very little discussion about the "4 territories" issue in there because we were told to USE this topic and not the other one.   People are angry about this and they want to demonstrate to Bioware that it is NOT a satisfactory solution to just go "hey we tried, tough luck"

Ok, except for the fact that people are trying to talk to Bioware when Bioware's not even here.

The real life equivalent of what everyone's doing is leaving 50 messages on someone's answering machine so they can be bombarded when they come back from vacation.

Its insane.

I had wondered whether it was something very new - possibly like an advanced bonus skill only available from levels 25 and up, a bit like what they did in Dragon Age Awakenings (I vote for a new biotic wtfpwn punch demsontrated by Jack :D )

I don't know, but the way Jarrett put it, it sounded like something radically new, different to the usual 'new weapon/bonus skill' concept.

I doubt it. Wrex and Ash/Kai are too busy to get involved in this. But at least we can have half the team back together.

Including Shepard and excluding the death, that would mean 4/6. So we've almost got the whole band back together.

Exactly. Complaining is one thing - swamping the boards in a never-ending stream of vitriol and drowning out all other conversations when Bioware aren't even in the office to read them is quite another.

If it's a boss fight on the Citadel with a cybernetically-undead Benezia, I'll join the hate crowd :P

Though if it turned out the Turian Councillor was the shadow broker, I think I'd battle Liara to be the one that blows his whining head off

Then blame Bioware a topic was created to discuss this issue so people like yourself would not be "inconvienenced" by the troubling matters of others.  That was closed and we were told to post about this issue here.  So naturally you are going to get a lot of people posting about the issue here because we were TOLD TO.

Now I have already indicated that there is a second Liara DLC topic you guys can use to discuss the DLC make up, we can't use it because we were told to post about the issue in this thread.  So the other thread will do perfectly fine and you won't be annoyed by people posting about such a trivial little matter to you

And I'd respect your reasoning, if you all weren't simply screaming at a bunch of empty desks. It's the weekend. You aren't going to get an explanation from them no matter how loud you shout - not until there are people at the office to actually answer your questions.

You know what would be nice?

If the game recognizes you brought Tali and Garrus on the mission, and at a specific moment-

*Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at each other*

Garrus-"Hey, I don't know if you noticed, but..."

Shepard-"Just like old times, aye?"

Tali-"Feels good."

Liara-"Yes. Now lets get back to finding the Shadow Broker."
