If you modify one config file and another file I don't remember, and change a bit of the Registry, your ME2 will become 100% English. Just change all language values to INT (international) and it'll work.Systemlord Baal wrote...
If it's because of localisation, I think BW should make the English language files availlable for Download (for free of course).
I want to know exactly why CENTRAL EUROPE (come on, face it. Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia are still in the "central" area. Eastern Europe begins with Bialoruś and Ukraine) is excluded from this DLC.
Come on, the exact date isn't even announced! They have plenty of times to create a workaround.
This is such a BS. I am a loyal, paying customer, and I am denied the content, while some dumb kid will just open up ThePirateBay and get all the goods.

1. Do they want us to buy an English copy (not gonna happen, we already payed once the game)
2. Do they want us to pirate it (I don't think so but do not be surprised if some people will do that)

2. IF the problem won't be solved most of ppl will probably do.
But I still hope that someone from BW will talk to us, as the new week begun, and I hope, I know, this problem can be solved.

We also know there will be no new weapons in this DLC and it's 99% sure that Liara will not be recruitable.
Where did you get this info?

BioWare have mentioned on a number of occasions that Kasumi was the last character that Shepard would be able to recruit, and that there would be no more recruitable characters.
I suspect the best we'll get is Liara joining the Normandy-II as an NPC to interact with, but even that is hardly guarentied. If you're hoping or expecting Liara will become a full squadmate like Kasumi, Zaeed, and the rest of the crew, you're going to be disappointed. Its not going to happen.

Yeah I don't see this happening. On the hidden audio files are on the ME2 discs about the Shadow Broker, it hints that Liara won't go with the Commander after the mission is complete.

There was too small profit from the DLC-sales in Middle-, and/or Eastern Europe, so I guess they won't bother translating them anymore. But in the aforementioned countries... well, we only have the translated versions officially, so in normal ways, if they don't translate it, they can't sell the DLC in these countries. So maybe a lot of people who bought ME2 was too cheap or too poor to buy the DLC-s and turned to other means (piracy), and they had enough of it (understandable). If these theories are true (I think there's a really good chance for it, money comes first in almost everywhere), then there are only two things that hurt me:
1. The lies about "technical issues". I paid for the DLC-s I wanted to play, I'm not a thief. Maybe I'm just a nobody from a country you can't even find on the map, but I didn't steal from you, maybe I deserve some honesty.
2. The stupid "localization" thing. Well, it's good for the ones without english knowledge, but why it's the only option? Who was that genius with that idea? Almost every translation is rushed and sounds irritatingly stupid. I play every game in english 'cause I can't stand the horrible localisations. But in order to do so, I had to replace two files and rewrite some lines in a certain file. The files I copied was about 16 MB, was it really impossible to put them on the disk? If we had them in the first place, the issue would be smaller, like with the latest DA-DLC, Leliana's song, which was also lacked of translation in some countries (I guess the reason was the same, but DA had the english language beside the localisations, so at least people could buy it).
Considering the circumlocution and then the silence, maybe no one will ever admit the solidity of this theory, but please, at least give us a patch with the english text, or some enlightment... I mean will we able to buy the future DLC-s with the "hacked" (I mean modified, not pirated) english version? (I always could so far without any problems, maybe it won't be different this time either)
But if I won't be able... no, you're wrong, I won't pirate it. I won't steal from you, just skip it (or them... with future DLC-s). It doesn't matter if you don't care about folks like me, "vengeance" is not mine.

Goddamn. So the wait for ME3 gets tenser. I'm desparate for Liara as a SM again.

A while back Bioware said that there won't be any more recruitable squadmates for ME2, but if I remember correctly, they didn't say anything on not getting any new NPCs on the Normandy.
Maybe that is the technical difficulty? The game was only suppose to have 12 squad mates but bioware decided have 13 and for some reason they can't get to work for the countries?
BTW I am just throwing an idea out here. I also feel bad for those 4 countries that can't get the DLC

VERY unlikely. Liara will be a temp squaddie at best during this DLC. Not to mention the audio files that already heavily support this outcome.

The most intriguing and important thing in this case is why 4 countries have different game version. What is the difference between polish/slovak/hungarian/czech and english/german/spanish/canadian etc... Besides of language of course...

It probably has something to do with the code that allow the game to play audio and subtitles in those four countries.
