New DLC Announced: Lair of the Shadowbroker

So those who romanced and not cheated Liara will get her as resident in captains cabin.
If this DLC is set up in post C-Base mission then could be possible some shift in squad list which could made possible to recruit Liara as squadmate because she could replace Samara after she decide that her oath is fulfilled and because of that she will left Shepard's team.
So what Bioware says about no new squaddies after Kasumi IS true because ME 1 squaddies are not new adds and soon or later they will return to game.

It probably has something to do with the code that allow the game to play audio and subtitles in those four countries.
Ok, i understand, BUT, people from thos 4 countries can play in full english /audio and subtitles/, so where is the problem? W8 for BIO to answer...

and it doesn't seem as an engine problem either cos [just checked AGAIN to be sure] english VO file was in my game all along i just needed to edit the sku.ini file form POL to INT variable, as for engine: the fragmentary DLC filessmykulfc wrote...

are already in my copy of the game!

http://www.xbox360ac...ad.php?t=207014
so if it's all there -that simply points it shouldn't be bigger case than the mentioned sku.ini file
cos look at this-if the given DLC wasn't supposed to be given to easter europe form the beginning why then insert original eng VO and pictured pre-DLC?
this doesn't stick up for me and i think it may be possible to give us the DLC just like the rest, maybe with one little patch or something.....
let BW see the files they planted THEMSELVES in EVERY COPY OF THE GAME and say something.....

"The most intriguing and important thing in this case is why 4 countries have different game version. What is the difference between polish/slovak/hungarian/czech and english/german/spanish/canadian etc... Besides of language of course...
It probably has something to do with the code that allow the game to play audio and subtitles in those four countries."
Somehow I doubt there's any difference beside the languages (in my country, only the subtitles was different, the voiceovers remained the original). I changed my localisated version to english with very little effort (almost none), and I was able to buy, download and use DLC-s in english without any problems (if I'm lucky, I shall be able to do the same with this upcoming one). I guess they don't think its worthwhile to bother with the translations or care about the honest players from the affected countries. EA don't care about fans or human things, they care about money, and I fear BW can do nothing, they're "just" developers, EA is the publisher, therefore EA is the boss, not them. Let's hope I'm wrong...

My friend did minor editing in the BIOGame_INT.tlk file, not sure what he did, but it took a very short time. I put that file in BioGame\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\CookedPC\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ folder, then changed another file(config file) in notepad, changed language values to "INT" (from POL). I also went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE to find registry entries for ME2, and I also changed the language values to INT.GUessWho117 wrote...

And after I run the game, you couldn't possibly tell it had any Polish in it. 100% English. I didn't have any problem buying, downloading and playing English DLCs.
I wish I could give you specifics, but I simply don't remember, and I don't have M2 installed at the moment.
It's almost as if Bioware was "racist" towards Central and Eastern Europe citizens. Yeah, I said the R-word!

i can tell you specifically, that i didn't even touched registry or copied any files just edited the config [sku.ini] file to INT from POL and it worked same-so it's really no big puff to make localised to ENG and if i were BW i'd put it straight into installer for all....Petersaber wrote...

Oh, plus that sku.ini file too, you have to do it.
Change VOLanguage=POL to VOLanguage=INT , probably there were more "POL to INT" lines. Two or three?

Well, you can change both VO and subtitles in polish version to english ones with a few minor code changes.

in my case i didn't even had to change BIOGame_POL.tlk to BIOGame_INT.tlk as both files were already therePetersaber wrote...
I'm Googling the changes, and appereantly I only made up the registry hunt (I do it every time anyway), and appereantly all my friend did with BIOGame_INT.tlk was change it's name.... from BIOGame_POL.tlk to BIOGame_INT.tlk. Haha. Funny. I'm not sure, though, if anyone wants it, I can upload that "edited" file.

just edited sku.ini and there were 2 lines: one for voice and one for all text stuff like menu language, subtitles-all handled by this 1 line

Console version is unmodabe but PC version can be "internationalized" (as many people her including myself proved )so that is perhaps one of the reasons why Central Europe wont get this DLC at all... because console players can't then PC players will not get either.

that is a BIG NO. PC players should get the DLC and console ones should get the PC [or exchange XBOX ver on PC ver] and we we'll be even and happy ...meh...Asheer_Khan wrote...

I don't think that DLC will install after those changes, it will surely recognize that You have non english version of the game. And of course, when You buy and download DLCs You do it from Your account and automaticly in Your language. I'm almost completely sure that We won't be able to buy it legally even in english version.Poki 3 wrote...

and bam i had to dement that also as i can change the language of the site in no prob by a little button down the site and then download the DLC having "en" instead of "pol" in the name and install it after sku.ini change without any "locks"overrides" or any other big whop....Strid wrote...

Hello
Just a short question in the name of Polish community. Why isn't going "Lair of the Shadowbroker" be available in mid-europe? What does technical problems mean? There were no so called technical problems earlier when you published other DLCs. I can understand your concern about piracy, etc. but we are not the only country where piracy exists. It is extremely unfair to those like me who officially buy the game (mostly in collector's edition), pay a lot of money, etc. The worst thing is to generalize and bring the honest players to the level of software thieves. This fact doesn't build a positive apparition of your company. I talked with many players from Poland and and they are not going to buy Mass Effect 3 at all. They feel cheated and don't want to support your company by buying next part of the game. If you consider us as a pirates than we will become ones.
Kind regards
Marcin Kucharski
Do you think it is OK for us, Poles, Czek, Slovaks and Hungarians?

I bought Kasumi and Overloard, as well as downloaded all the Cerberus Network DLC from this site. Everything was english audio and subtitles. That's why I'm at least hoping... The only thing that was Polish was the DLC installer, but that probably checks for your Windows locale settings.Strid wrote...
