If you are talking about people leaving the Normandy after surviving the suicide mission, to me this will only happen regarding an Awakening style expansion. Having Liara basically "swap" with someone feels quite unlikely if this isn't the case. Where is the evidence that this DLC is set post-suicide mission?

I'm not all the way through Mass Effect 2 yet as I just started a few days ago but I wouldn't miss Jacob.
I don't want any spoilers but I'm sad I'll finish the game in the next day or so but the DLC won't be out before hand. I'm trying to see if Jacob will get back with Miri but it seems like it won't happen.
I'm going to have to make a save before I complete the game just so I can have that DLC quest inside this character and then finish the game a second time. I wanted to have my character either stay with Liara from me1 or go with Tali (which I prefer Tali now that Liara has changed so much).
Second time around I'm going to play complete opposite. Renegade, female, and stealth. Sucks playing as a girl though because its impossible to want to romance any of the guy characters. It just feels wrong lol
