How can I check to see if I've signed up for the newsletter? I don't remember if I did or not...

I don't believe I would sign up for facebook even if it was the cure for cancer.

Oh, good, one less weapon for me to worry about and about 60 million fewer stalkers to worry about as I continue to never use Facebook.

Done. I'm rather curious as to what kind of weapon it will turn out to be.

Reconsider - It's the cure for cancer we are talking about  :wizard:

Too bad that it requires Facebook. I'm one of those "Dare to say no to Facebook"-girls ^_^

I have different email for my EA account and FB account. How will the system recognize me as registered?

I hate these ''epic weapon'' things. same thing with blood dragon armor in origins, it's like cheating.

I dont want any super items because then i dont need original items in game.

I'll never register at this facebook. Well, good thing this thread reminded me to subscribe to newsletter though, I hope they'll inform me when CE will be announced.

If you don't perform free advertisement for Bioware, you don't get the weapon. Pretty simple. :P

Though, as more companies do this sort of thing, it just creates an incentive for us to create dummy Facebook accounts.

I already have one Facebook page under an assumed name.  Why not two?

I wonder if having both this account and your Facebook account under different emails will effect whether or not you receive the code.

I just added the email that I use for Dragon Age (and that I registered for updates on the DA2 for previously) to my facebook account after "Like"ing Dragon Age..  I hope that is sufficient.

I'm also someone who uses a different email for Facebook than they do with their EA ID. Let's hope that doesn't affect anything.

I just updated Victor's post a bit.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE FACEBOOK

Check his initial post for details, we want newsletter signups. Image IPB

Glad to hear it.  Nice to see I'm not the only one who isn't using FB.  I'm not against it, it's just something I'm not into.

The box didn't appear for me on IE, but it did on firefox. I think we've got (near) every variation now.

Anyway, I already signed up when the page came live.

Is it possible to confirm whether or not we signed up for the list? I'm fairly sure I signed up for the newsletter when I first saw that page, but I'm not entirely sure. I don't see the option anymore, which I think means I did sign up....

Since I had already signed up and liked I'm not worried but here is to hoping we get more information on what we can get although free stuff is always good so no complaining no matter what here!

I never understood why people assume that the instant they make a Facebook account, they'll have weirdos and perverts outside their window. More than usual, anyway.

You don't have to put any sensitive information into it if you don't want to. No one's going to force you to give out your phone number or address or photos or bank account numbers or anything. And furthermore, you can restrict viewing ANYTHING to those you expressly permit.

I'm not saying everyone has to go out and get one, and it's a good thing you don't have to use it for this giveaway, but in the future, it's not that big of a deal. You don't even have to use your real name. We're talking like 30 seconds of work to set up an account and hit Like.

It's just weird how so many people act like if you sign up for Facebook, you're contractually obligated to open up your entire life to the Internet.
