By the way, I find it funny (and a little sad) that no one is getting the joke reference.

Monty Python. We know.

And yet, still people got butthurt over it.

Silly people :)

Eh I'm not butthurt I just think it's a silly reason to hate Hawke. Also I'm very bored.

Same here. What I like about the character so far is that he's more, I dunno, normal? Somebody you can relate to?(Because I would probably run away to) You know, sometimes you need to run away...to fight the enemy, get what I'm saying?

Oh I totally get it. It's why I sacrificed Isolde on my first play (I thought the demon would rampage while I was away). Stupid Alistair tantrum...all that approval down the drain :crying:

I don't relate to cowardice all that well I suppose :)

Now gimme a nasty, mean guerilla fighter who is jacking Darkspawn whenever he gets the chance cause they ruined his homeland...and not fleeing said homeland?

That's my kinda hero :)

I didn't have anyone in particular in mind. The guy *that* ballad would be about wouldn't be remembered by history was the point I was making, lol. I guess Cailan fits though.

*minstrels playing for Hawke*

Bravely bold Hawke
Rode forth from Lothering.
He was not afraid to die,
Oh brave Sir Hawke.
He was not at all afraid
To be killed in nasty ways.
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Hawke.

He was not in the least bit scared
To be mashed into a pulp.
Or to have his eyes gouged out,
And his elbows broken.
To have his kneecaps split
And his body burned away,
And his limbs all hacked and mangled
Brave Sir Hawke.

His head smashed in
And his heart cut out
And his liver removed
And his bowls unplugged
And his nostrils raped
And his bottom burnt off
And his pen--

"That's... that's enough music for now lads,
Eh, what's this?"

**Blight comes to Lothering, Hawke flees**

Craven Hawke ran away.
("No!")
Bravely ran away away.
("I didn't!")
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
("no!")
Yes, brave Sir Hawke turned about
("I didn't!")
And gallantly he chickened out.

****Bravely**** taking ("I never did!") to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
("all lies!")
Bravest of the braaaave, Sir Hawke!
("I never!")

Well, since Cailan was actually fighting bravely...and a coward left him there to die...that only proves one thing....

Loghain and Hawke both went to the same Military School of Cowardice where they both majored in Capitulation, Surrender and Fleeing :)

Yet one of them was the Hero of River Dane and also a great general and the other one was the Champion of Kirkwall. Sign me up!

I'm not even a Loghain or Hawke fangirl. Look what you've done!

And Cailan would have better served his country by staying in Denerim. But then we'd have a boring game. Sorry Cailan, you get to be the Franz Ferdinand of Ferelden. At least your death was ~glorious~ <3

No I'm firmly in the Alistair camp if anything. DA fangirl? Obviously or I wouldn't be posting here. I hope you realize that I'm not actually hurt or angry, or even all that serious. I just like to debate. :P

Lohgain said he's always been a strategist at heart. The Darkspawn would've destroyed even Lohgain's reinforcments.

Hawke doesn't have a minstrel troupe though, he has a sister. So it's a lot more likely for her to break into some gaudy pop routine with darkspawn as backup dancers.
