Shoo fly. Stop playing out your masturbatory fantasies about girls fighting over you here.

Sorry I fell for it.

Fell for what?

Nope.  I read the title right and it was about OUR fantasy guy.  Tough, LOYAL, funny, sexy, aggressive, and yummy voice/body.

I'd very much like a templar. (I've mentioned this, but bear with me.) Someone very deeply set in his beliefs, but not the "force it upon you" sort. Unwavering (unlike darling Al, who folds like soggy bread if you give him his mother's locket), brave, loyal, and a bit older than our previous LIs. Someone with a personality like Ser Otto or Ser Bryant. Intimidating, but warm. If he had this voice, I wouldn't complain.

Give me Sir Otto with that voice, his smooth bald head, and watch me knees turn to jelly.  Oh Yes!  I'll take two?!Posted Image

Dumb.  A woman who kidnaps a man and "has her way with him" is raping him - you're right it does happen sometimes, but rarely is it enjoyable to the man.  If it is some elaborate ruse for the man to sleep with someone other than you, it's cheating.  If he wasn't a willing participant, it's rape.

Would any of you girls like a guy who cheats on you at every chance.

Would you like a LI male or female who cheats on you?

I don't care how many lovers the LI has had before he/she meets my character, buy my character had best be the last, or he will be looking for a new group to hang with.

Honestly, I can't even do a playthrough in which MY character cheats.  I pick who I'm going to romance in that playthrough and then just deflect all the comments from the others until they settle in the friend track.  Personally, I think it's the most horrible insult to sleep with Alistair (especially after he confides that he's a virgin) and then days (or even minutes) later, loudly have sex with someone else in the camp.  His jealousy dialogue is way too tame.  A guy that had been that vulnerable and honest only to have to listen to his lover whooping it up with someone else.  His jealousy dialogue should be more like, "I can't believe you would do that to me, I never want to talk to you again. (-100 approval)."

Personally, in the sense you can go from 100 approval to 0 approval all in one conversation is ridiculous. Real people rarely just "fall out of love"...and for Alistair, who's never been in a major relationship, it's even more jarring. Rather, I'd like to see something like a variation "offended" flag combined with "romance not possible" flag--where you can be forgiven, but he'll never get back with you.

And yeah, only Leliana (evidently because she keeps an eye glued to your tent at all times) ever becomes aware of you cheating on her. Other than that, they're jealous "you're to close to the other guy" dialogue is all we have. I don't think Alistair actually has a "Um, did you just sleep with him, fiancee?" dialogue.

Absolutely not!   In that Alistair is a welcoming sight.  He admits he would never cheat, hurt or bring you to see a former lover, but again he has plenty of integrity.

That said, he did ask to sleep with our female PC.  That is done poignantly if you build your relationship with him to 100 approval rating and has completed his side quest.  However, the act itself, virgin or not, was truly disappointing, lol.

Well, as girls, we want a guy to respect, adore, and be a bad boy every now and then in his manner of approach to us.  He needs to have a very good sense of honor and integrity, not duty, lol, as well as having a delicious sense of humor.

He must also write romantic letters or poems displaying his inner feelings. Invite to spend the night under the stars, away from the others, just us, lying on our backs and enjoying the stars, their shapes in the form of constellations.

And to suggest maybe once or twice to massage our necks when we return to camp after a heavy/intense boss battle, or to just take a skinny dipping (there is a small stream in camp).

Wishful thinking, but it is something as girls, at least, me, would love to see in Dragon Age II or other Bioware's games.

P.S. Daveth, meet Sir Bryant in Lothering, nice combination.

In JE one of my male characters romance both Dawn and Silk and I have had Kaidan/Ash and Liara show up telling my character to make a choice.  Once was an accident, I wanted to be friends and hit the wrong answer, but once I've made a commitment to a LI, I let everyone else know.

Never have gotten the dialog with Alistair, but then I've never tried for it.

Like I said, I don't care how many LI they had before my character, but mine had better be the last.  And I feel this way about my character too.  My LI is my one and only once we've made the commitment.   :)

I meant that more from the standpoint that you'll get party banter to the effect that everyone can hear what you're doing with your LI of the moment.  Alistair never actually says "I heard you boffing Zevran" - but it seems to be implied that everyone in camp knows what you're up to and with whom.

This is why I find his jealousy dialogue to be a bit tame and unrealistic.  I like your idea of a forgiveness but romance permanently over option, which seems more in Alistairs character.  I'm not sure that I disagree with some of the massive approval drops.  You could think you were in love with someone then have them kill Connor and laugh about it, and realize that you didn't know them at all (-40).  :)  Also just thinking that there are many real life examples where love turns to hate when someone feels betrayed.

Nathanial Howe. Or Anders. Dark perverse humor, incredible womanizer, definitly NOT the type for shy little girls. I'm sorry, but I like my pixels to be.. erm.. "Ready to fight" If you will ;)

And no, I'm not a lonely creeper, I just find it incredibly entertaining.

Yeah, some of the approval drops made absolute sense. Some certainly didn't ("you misinterpreted my expression of love, I no longer love you!"). I still want the ability to have a disagreement with a character that doesn't immediately end the relationship/require my apology--an argument you can act out, and have it be extended.

A bad boy, and who ever we get, I want the love to be deep. It can be cute, It can be dark, but please, make them actually seem in love. I wasn't feelin Leliana, but Ali (my favorite LI) and Mori had some great moments. Zev had a few, too.

But yea point is, I want a dark male LI kinda deal for females, but still romantic in it's ways, obviously.

Also, I wanna say I don't mind that not everyone swings both ways in this game. In fact, I appreciate it. If it's not in their character, then it's not them. Some people, no matter what the stimuli, the other person, just don't go both ways. I support homosexuality, but this makes the game more real. I don't mind playing a male char to get a straight girl. It's not that big a deal.

I have never been able to go totally evil.  I' don't usually make it all the way to the saint side either, but I have a better chance at this than going dark.  I always play what makes me feel good and that's helping people and romancing the boy scout.  B)

My son-in-law keeps trying to talk me into going to the dark side at least once, but I just feel bad if I don't think they deserve it.  I have no problem doing the rude responses if the character deserves it.

Same here--I won't always be polite, but I don't like being outright cruel to people who don't deserve it.

The thing that sucks about playing as an evil character in most RPG's is that it's so one-dimensional compared to being a nice, rational person. When you're playing an evil character in most games, evil = psychotic thug. That's a certain type of evil sure, but not the only type. Evil can be manipulative, uncaring, cowardly, hate-filled, utterly selfish, etc. and it's unfortunate you get pidgeonholed into doing evil things mostly for teh lulz rather than ruthless practicality 95% of the time.

Well the other part to that which i better explained in another post was how would the female react when the man tells you.Obviously this is rare.I imagine from a female veiw it could be seen as a obvious lie.Curious as to how they would react.

Very true, I feel. Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation pointed out that a truly evil person has a larger scale that doesn't always include "let's destroy the most holy artifact in the Thedas", but rather a Xanatos Gambit/Magnificent Bastard streak that allows you to manipulate someone by pretending to be the Holy Savior of Rock on the Mountain or whatever. You, of course, can't do that. I think DAO was a step up from normal good vs evil reasons, but you could still only be evil in one perspective--you were just allowed to be grey in a wide variety of shades.

This naivety was born of living in a town not far off from the Wilds. Folklore and mythology would've clearly played a large role in his upbringing, so he'd know of the witches and have a rather hefty fear of them due to what he was told growing up. That's not even mentioning how utterly terrifying and powerful both Morrigan and Flemeth actually are. There was nothing "freak"ish about Daveth's reaction. I was actually upset that no one else reacted to Morrigan as he did. His reaction was believable. :)

I think Jory got the idea by saying if she is a witch do you really wanna make her mad.

He does say to the mage that he always found magic unnerving and is glad to have you on his side.

My typical guy is a lot like Alistair--goofy sense of humor, strong sense of responsibility--but I've already seen Alistair. I've seen lots of charming male leads from BioWare, which is why I'm so keen on seeing a Gaider-written bad boy.;)

Yeah, I got the feeling from Daveth that he didn't entirely trust magic, but he was happy to have the mage along because he or she was trustworthy.

Morrigan, on the other hand, is rather infamous with the people of his village and could very well be known for stealing babies and using their skin for new smallclothes.

Also, mmmmm Gaider-written bad boy. Do want.

Well since it's a wish thread I would personally want something different from what Bioware done in the past. As much as I adored Valen, Carth, Kaidan, Sky and Alistair they all shared some similarities I'm getting a bit tired of and I'm not talking about the whole dead wife thing either.

I love Alistair in many ways but at times he can be horribly annoying to take along just because I prefer not to play my nice characters as saints. I would like their next attempt to be a nice guy that accually understand that sometimes messy things needs to be done and won't yell at my character for not being 100% nicer then anyone could ever be.

I think I would like to see Bioware attempt to create a character like Obsidian's Gannayev-of-Dreams for their next romance if I was given a choice but If we have to get another paladin type to rescue us I would prefer a male version of Kaelyn the Dove. At least Kaelyn admitted to following a very narrow path instead of telling us to do one thing and then getting mad after like Alistair did. Posted Image
