Yes!  I would have liked something the next morning, or even a few hours later, something to know she hadn't bewitched him.  She was, after all a witch.  I knew he hated her and she thought he was, the nicest thing I can think of is dumb and I did it once because I try everything onces in a game. (EDIT - I actually romanced Alistair with every background thinking there had to be something that would let us both survive without Morrigan and am still upset)  It was actually worst than leaving Ash or Kaidan behind.  And that makes me cry every time.  A;listair and Morrigan  just made me mad.

YES YES!! it bothered me that she called me sister and said that he would enjoy it more then he thinks.  It was to my one of my characters who hadn't had any more experience than Alistair.  I've always felt that this actually ruined any future they may have had.

Then to top it off, when I didn't send him to her, I didn't not have Alistair come to my room.  I don't think I missed it by asking the wrong question, I don't think it was there.  We spent the last night of one of our lives alone.  Well, not in my mind, but no proof that we were together.

It just was not very well thought out.  IMO  :) And I NEVER want it as a LI option again.  Unless they have some way not to do it that gives a similar outcome.

Some has said Alistair was just to immature to accept Loghain as a gray warden, without being married to the queen, so future LI need to be more mature, (keeping it on track - future LI  more mature).

I am in your line of thinking... I felt the same way regarding Morrigan and I did not agree with the ritual thingy and she left the party for good.    I agree with you in that improvement is truly needed in the”affaire of the heart” department.  Like I stated before Alistair has his sweet moments, but does everything else wrong: sleeping with Morrigan scene is ONE of them, and that is unforgivable, especially if he is your true heart. Persuade or not, he should not agree to betray the woman he cares for deeply or have shared a bed with on occasions or often (depends how player interacts with him)

I hope if romance is included in Dragon Age II that it is done tastefully, maturely and as an option, not a requirement,  just like it is now in DAO. Better romantic lines, with a heart, if you please!

Australian accent is incredibly sexy, so this is definitely a must! How about the two men from “The Thorn Birds”:  Richard Chamberlain and Bryan Brown (a.k.a Father Ralph and Luke O’Neill respectively)? Now, match those two men and you have both of two worlds: romanticism and prowess, and adding Alistair's sensibility (where he admits "gosh, you're so beautiful, I'll never hurt you nor cheat on you), but with more heartfelt lines, and also Daveth’s Aussie accent, charms and looks, and there is the perfect guy for Dragon Age II.

I didn't blame Alistair for doing what I asked.   That wouldn't make sense to me.  He did refuse at first but I kept at him until he said ok.  So I don't see that as his fault.  :)

Love the Australian accent.  Actually I love most any accent.

Morrigan I found pretty interesting.  My husband played a couple of times and thought she was unpleasant (his words were a bit stronger), also wouldn't talk to her.    I liked hearing about her childhood.

I liked Morrigan the most when I played as a male PC and DIDN'T romance her.  Not even flirt, once.  There are lots of nice moments, like where you give her the mirror, and say you want nothing in return, and she is confused because men have never been nice to her unless they wanted sex.  I really felt this was the best way to get to know Morrigan, and she seemed to soften a lot at the idea of a man who treated her nicely without expected sexual favors.

oh but i did look up bishop because i havent played nwn2 and you know, i can kinda see why a lot of people liked him. i havent play the game but from the few clips i saw he just seemed more selfish than evil, really. i could actually understand a lot of the mentality behind him - didn't agree with it but could certainly understand it.

Yes, Bishop was a jerk, but if you play as a more ruthless character, he's never a jerk to you, and in fact has a few good moments with you towards the end of the game, where his selfish-evil actions can be swayed by his feelings for you.  I think people also like the scene where Bishop and Casavir face off about you.  I know we get some jealousy party banter, but it's fun to have a camp cutscene with two LIs fighting over you.  Plus, it wasn't a fully fleshed out romance, so I think that made it seem more realistic.  If he had professed true love for you it would have been out of character, but the minor changes in his personality reflect his regard.  I dunno, I think people like this subtlety as well as the fact that he was sexy.  :)

Really? I wasn't terribly bothered (besides the general glaring at the scene in question, and wishing Alistair had a better face on than "concern" or whatever) by it--he's doing it to save your life, and save his life. You ask him to do it--in fact, you can even play the love card and say "If you really loved me, you'd do this", which is sick and hilarious all at the same time. If he wasn't willing to sleep with Morrigan at my behest to save my life I'd be immensely more bothered.

Personally, I'm glad Alistair didn't just drop all of his values because he fell in love. That would have made him a shallow character and romance interest. Dumping me after the Landsmeet, leaving because of Loghain; all of those things contributed to him being his own, unique character. My idea of "true love" doesn't mean that person becomes an extension of me, who only reflects what I feel and want him to do.

yeah i know what you mean. it's a shame they cut that romance but at the same time i can't see "I love you" ever coming out of Bishop's lips, but he does seem more like the kind of guy where actions speak louder than words...

I can't think of an accent I don't like.  Everything from the slight cowboy southern drawl, Scottish, Irish, English, French, and probably some I've never heard I'm sure I would like.  :)

Sometimes it's not the accents, it's the voices...of course, you can't have a "canon" voice to an accent, so its all about who's speaking it, really.

Yeah it's definitely a combination of voice and accent. Example: southern accent on that awful "god warrior" lady from Trading Spouses (you can probably find her on YouTube if you don't know who this is)? Terrible. Southern accent on Sawyer from Lost? *swoon*

I did not like how he acted at the Landsmeet.  I wouldn't have minded his getting mad and leaving the group to fight with someone else, or even to just go get drunk.  But to put his anger over his love bothered me.  Even my husband said he would accept Loghain as a gray warden since it increased the chances for our survival, especially since Loghain pretty much says he's going to do the sacrifice.

I want my LI to listen to me, he doesn't have to agree with me right away, (reason I didn't mind Kaidan's actions in ME2) but when he figures out I'm right, he should come back and say so, not leave the country. (also reason I liked Kaidan's e-mail)  :PDarn it,  Alistair listened to me about going to Morrigan.

Hmmm, is that feeling true for straight guys/gay girls as well? I mean, I agree with you - I find men's accents vastly more attractive than women's, but is that just cos I fancy blokes?

Voice appeal.  Definitely.  When I stop to think about it I can think of some voices with accents, i don't find appealing.  I think BioWare has done a great job in the past.  I'm looking forward to hearing the voices of Dragon Age 2.

I think Thane would have been just a teensy bit too alien for me, if he didn't have that voice. Garrus, too. Guys asks us why alien love interests can possibly appeal (since they figure Tali and Liara look human enough to not ask), and the way I feel is that, yeah, they might not look human, but neither does Shepard, not really. Everyone is pixels and polygons, and if Shepard is fake, than it doesn't bother me to see an alien in a fake relationship with.

If Thane or Garrus were a love interest in the live-action movie (obviously Shep's going to be male, but whatever), I think it'd start edging on "ew" territory. But, until then, it's the voice that makes all the difference.

Why yes. Sokka is 15ish in fact.

Sokka was a little *too* goofy. Bordering on annoying. Maybe it was his VA, I dunno. But anyway, if you like animated shows at all don't dismiss it as being for kids. It's very good, and has appeal for all ages. Plenty of adults enjoyed it too.
