Nope, it isn't a dating sim. It is a story of epic proportions, and most, if not all, stories of epic proportions, contain some lovin'. They do not, however, contain the Playmate of the month. Though, in fairness, I suppose it depends on what you read

Actually, romance is a big part of bioware games.  In an interview w/ Bioware's VP he mentioned that players would spend time obsessing about romancing particular characters.  Also, while romance is not necessary for game enjoyment, it provides a deeper level of character development and immersion, which I believe, is what most gamers want from their rps - immersion.

Actually, romance is a big part of bioware games.  In an interview w/ Bioware's VP he mentioned that players would spend time obsessing about romancing particular characters.  Also, while romance is not necessary for game enjoyment, it provides a deeper level of character development and immersion, which I believe, is what most gamers want from their rps - immersion.

I agree that some players don't play games specifically for the romance and I know that there's a thread dedicated to that particular topic.  However, I also believe that the majority of people on this thread do enjoy the romantic involvement in the game and are allowed to share their thoughts and feelings on that topic.  Also, it has been confirmed that there will be romantic interests in DA2.

What you're saying is "Would you like an entirely new customization feature or a slight upgrade of one we always have?" ...Though I honestly feel the choice would still be romance options.

In any case, this was brought up because you apparently decided gamers like boob sliders more than romance interests in a BioWare game.

And since when do "hardcore" BioWare fans prefer a feature they've never had over a staple of BioWare games? I don't think you should count yourself as one of these hardcore fans.

Again. We know romance will be there. We're just throwing around our ideas of what we'd like to see. We're not saying "Oh we want twelve different romance interests, one who can die, one who's a bad boy, one who can dance the tango...". We're wondering and suggestion and commenting on what we've already got. We just don't know what it is yet.

I promise you romance interests are more important to almost every BioWare fan than models.

This is worth repeating. No-one is saying we should be getting all of the romance options in this thread. It's just people throwing around ideas about the kind of fellas that interest those of us who like male LIs. Some of us will inevitably end up not getting our ideal pixelated loverboy. Just like you can't have your ideal boobs

I never said you didn't want love interests. But what you said is that they're less important to "hardcore" gamers than a love interest would be. Which is just...not true. It's just blatantly not true. Being "hardcore" isn't the same as being "minority".

Well, I'm a man and I pretty-much agree with all the people in this thread. I also do not want adjustable boobs. Well, okay, i wouldn't *mind* them, but I'd prefer they put the effort they'd use there towards better romances for all genders and orientations.
