I love that innocent, sensitive, almost corny, yet genuine way about him. It was very refreshing to romance an innocent like that, rather than an experienced, man of the world. Those are fine, too, but Alistair was totally something new, Bw hasn't really done before. I'm glad they saw success.
I don't think they should do it again in a DA game, however. It wil be interesting to see who they'll have for this game.

IKR! Though, I must admit, I have a real kick for telling Gorim "We've been down that road before..." and then informing him that he should "Stop sulking" out of sheer resentment when he mentions my Lady Aeducan being swept off her feet.Calla S wrote...

Oh, but what an imagination that must be! And to think, we were stuck with someone so poorly dressed as Gorim until Varric showed up.Calla S wrote...
I remember hearing about this! I believe it was not long after Varric's concept art showed up around these parts. It pleases me to know that this wasn't just some figment of my spiffily-dressed-dwarf-lovin' imagination.
GOORRRIMMMM. You just don't have a snazzy coat.
While he may not have a snazzy coat, he most certainly has DAT VOICE. Which may very well be the silkiest darn thing that's ever reached my ears. Oh, Steve Blum, ilu.
Plus, if Gorim had that coat, the world would probably crumble in on itself. Too hot.
Steve Blum is such a badass. I really hope he's back in DA2 in some form.

In that case male characters should be given a female questgiverAll would be like IRL then.
and all quests would be DLC. Paid DLC.:D
haha, DA2 would indeed be "dark fantasy" themed game then

I've resolved not to get attached to any of the characters in DA2 until I know they survive. First Daveth dies in the Joining. Then King Cailan gets squashed by an ogre. So I say, "no more! I'll have no more of this!" Then I meet Ser Otto.
Yup.
I'm still ticked off about that.
Ser Otto was cool, nothing like a blind fighter. I just hate how short his story was; sort of like Mhairi.
He's one of my favorites - if not my ABSOLUTE favorite - in the entire game. He's just so kind and gentle, strong despite or because of his disability, and just... gah. Not to mention I have a major templar fixation, so the fact that he's trundling around the Alienage in that armor helps.

a major templar fixation
This is good to bring up, too! I'd like to see a more dutiful templar or military type available to males and females in DA2. A templar, or a knight even, someone like Otto or to a lesser degree Jory. Or Cauthrien

Cauthrien! Ohmygosh, yes. I'd love that. A nice mixture of Otto's gentleness and Cauthrien's sense of duty and loyalty. Guh. Do want!

That's about the funniest thing I've read all day, and I mean that in a good way.Amyntas wrote...
Pick me. I'm as stupid as Alistair, as perverted as Daveth and as despicable as Morrigan
Don't get me wrong, I loved both Alistair and Zevran and found both of their romances engaging, entertaining, and fresh. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the same, but variety is good, too. Maybe variety is better. There are all kinds of personality traits to explore. How would a romance with a true bad boy progress? Or maybe a confident, aggressively interested male who isn't a bad boy and wants to do the right thing? Not necessarily a paladin type, but not one given to backstabbing or manipulation. Or something else entirely.
In any case, if David Gaider is writing it, I'll probably like it.

Hm, why not a bad guy? I found bishop absorbing.
Finally it would be interesting what we would say if he would turn out to be really bad and cheated us with the first bar-maid witch crosses his way.
Women want bad guys who are overall bad exept to themselves.^^

I had a thing for Canderous in KOTOR and also for Zaeed in ME2. I want an older man, preferably human, who is confident and unashamedly badass.
Oh god Canderous. UMPH. And Sagacious Zu from Jade Empire. I like older, bad*** guys too.
