Sigh. No, I suppose not.
In that case, I have a soft spot for men who are unsure, always have, always will. So Alistair was right up my alley.
But I have no doubt that whoever Bioware has in store for us will be great. I can't ever remember being disappointed by a romance, and I don't expect I'll be disappointed this time 'round, either.

In saying that, DA:O left me wanting an option to romance Ohgren. As long as there are options, it's all good.

A tall, shoulder-length-dark-haired, blue eyed, sarcastic bad-boy-with-a-soft-spot version of Jayne from Firefly. So kinda like a cross between Nathaniel Howe, Alistair and Anders. I promise I will not stop replaying. Ever.

In response to the first paragraph: YES!
In response to having options: YES!
In response to wanting to romance Ohgren: No.

... Ok, that and I'd like no Alistair or Zevran clones. I loves those two, but I'd rather see newer personalities. I remember having a similar discussion on SiB and someone suggested a 'Push-you-against-the-wall-and-ravage-you-type'. Want... want so badly. Most of the time, male players always get the strong, independant, and maybe a lil argumentative type, while generally, female players have either Mr. Suave(Zev and Sky for example) or the Knight-in-Shining-Armor/Sensitive-guy(Alistair, Kaidan, and Carth). I'm not saying they're bad, but I'm hoping for something different this time around.

As long as they don't compare me to someone from their past... I will be eternally grateful. I'm not sure why BW likes to recycle this, but it's a big turn off. Carth, Kaidan, Sky, and Thane (and Zev? I forget.) all do this... Please, no "[insert story of ex here]... Hey, you remind me of her."

It could be worse, the male NPC could cry out the name of said Ex during the love scene.

how about a dalish elf character? There was only one elf in the origins team which was a shame, perhaps we can get a skilled archer/hunter with a deep dislike for humans but eventually learns to trust you. I loved this piece of concept art , the hair is so cool and facial tatoos are always awesome.
Legolas, you're back?

I really, really, really want a nerdy mage.
+100 approval.
I don't really have any specific requirements when it comes to this sort of thing. Either a romanceable character seems 'right' for the character I'm playing or they don't. Still, I approve of the nerdy mage guy. It would make an interesting change. He doesn't have to be awkward, goofy or socially inept either. Just... intelligent. Intelligence is attractive but it doesn't seem to be a trait explored very often for Bioware romanceables so far.

Alistair's my favorite romance ever, but I'm a bit sick of seeing the upstanding, honorable (and generally charming) male lead. That's nice and all, but it's been done a lot. I'd like to see something different.
Like a nerdy mage?

...Actually, no. I wouldn't protest the inclusion, but hopefully there are two male love interests, so I can get a different pick. Maybe someone more roguish, leaning on the Chaotic Neutral side...but not like Zevran. I like Zev well enough, but he definitely wasn't my favorite.

Couldn't we have a Joker type, with or without brittle bones? Please?
I like Joker. He's funny, a bit of a smart-ass,
For me it's more of the voice acting. If they get a voice actor that makes my bones melt, I probably won't care too much what his personality is like. Well, at least not for awhile.
I hope they give him a sense of humor and I would like at least two choices - I want the boy scout version who can fight at my side and help me save kittens and little kids, but i would like a bad boy for those who want him, and if the voice is right, I may actually play someone less good or balanced.
