Don't get me wrong, I love Clark Gable movies, but the ears.. It was the same way with Bing Crosby, but he was never as good looking as Gable. Beautiful singer though.
Honestly, the older I get, the more I appreciate a sense of humor in a guy. And I mean intelligent humor, not a lot of the crap in most "comedy" movies lately. I so would have eloped with Groucho Marx back in the day. Marx brothers movies are still hilarious. And who doesn't like a good harp player.

Meanwhile if Alistair is 22 who cares if he's a virgin, so are at lot of 22 year olds. Maybe not 22 year olds that look like him, but you get the point. He's probably older but who knowwws.

Scottish and oh so manly. I think I'd basically jump anything with an Irish or Scottish accent.

I want someone shy who I actually feel gifted with when they open up to me and it doesn't depend on my charisma stats. And a sense of humor never hurt.
This is why I love Garrus.

I liked Clint Eastwood's silent hero. The Magnificent Seven had some great men, at least in my eyes. Steve McQueen and Yul Brynner. I wouldn't mind a Cary Grant or Sean Connery either. OR Rupert Giles!
Let us not forget Charles Bronson in the Magnificent Seven as well.
As for Dragon Age guys to romance, how about Nathaniel with a sense of humor (he was so serious)?
Seriously, honest warm strong sense of humor with intelligence....don't need no Marlon Brando/James Dean misunderstood bad boys. I want a guy who knows who he is and what he wants. If he's been through hard times, he's overcome them and learned their lessons. He believes that living well is the best revenge. He's naturally good in the sack but always willing to learn new ways to have fun. He's gentle and kind with his loved ones but will defend -- with exemplary skill -- to the death those he cares about. But willing to admit when someone he loves has gone astray. Yeah, Nathaniel with a sense of humor.

I cried when Charles Bronson died and the kids putting flowers on his grave.... Yep, I like your guy type. A sense of humor is very important to me. In real life as well as video game.

@Errant: I was going to comment on something like that. It doesn't really matter about the ages, its even kinda clever to leave it open ended, especially since ambiguity allows people to fit the character to their own preferences. But I found a lot of the characters to be in this vague 20s, 30s area that made it, well, not hard to pick a LI but hard to appreciate their hardships. If Zevran was maybe 22 and you condense all of his experiences into a short span of time, it means something different than if he was in his late 30s and he'd had a few decades to get used to and become jaded by the job. Can't pinpoint an age on that guy but he's definitely not 22.
Meanwhile if Alistair is 22 who cares if he's a virgin, so are at lot of 22 year olds. Maybe not 22 year olds that look like him, but you get the point. He's probably older but who knowwws.
I agree, I've always thought of both Alistair and Zevran in their early 20's with really different life experiences in that short time span. Might have something to do with my age, but both of them seemed young to me.
It's why as much as I liked Alistair, i would always pick someone like Kaidan/Carth as a first choice if given the option. Someone in their 30's and a bit more mature, but sill with a good sense of humor.
