ok i was just starting a new character on the single player mode (i have NWN diamond edition..starting original campaign prelude) and neither healing potions or healing spells will work.  They go through the motions of drinking or casting but with no result.  Paladins lay on hands still works though...any ideas of the cause?

Do you have anything in your override folder. if there is a file in there called spells.2da revove it and see if the problem is corrected.
