What do you think? Will they release a Dragon Age Journeys 2 before Dragon Age 2 and have it conected to the game, just like the first one was coneted to Dragon Age: Origins?
Will there even be a Dragon Age Journeys 2?

Any of the devs have anithing to say about this?

I quite enjoyed Dragon Age Journeys. I said at the time that a full-length game in that style was something I would happily buy.

There should be another 2 chapters, buyable though. Not out yet!
Check the Dragon Age wiki... there should be some info there.

I don't think DA:J did very well at all. They were supposed to make a part 2 and never did, so I doubt they'll bother with it again.

It was very boring tbh. Better they put their effort into the main game. I completed DA:J twice just to get the achievements to unlock the items for DA:O only to then find out they can be downloaded for free manually :(

I liked DA:J.  But then Dragon Age: Origins came out, and that was definitely better.Posted Image

The fact that it seems to have not been touched isn't a good sign, although it might be picked up again in the future.

Me too.  I was almost tempted to make a topic requesting a tactics-style spinoff for DA and ME, but I wasn't sure where the appropriate place to put it would be.

That said, DA:J 2 is under development, with twitter posts from the developers discussing development as recent as about a month ago.

I liked it, and was sorry not to see new chapters forthcoming. I'm doubtful that they'll pick it up again now after such a long gap, but I'd be pleased if they did.

Why is DA:J 2 under development when the full DA:J was not released? Doesn't make much sense to release a sequel to an incomplete game. The trailer for DA:J featured many areas and baddies that were not in the demo.

Sorry, I probably phrased that badly.  I meant Chapter 2 of DA:J.

They're made by totally different divisions of EA.  DAO and DA2 are made by BioWare.

DAJ was made by EA 2D.

How would you judge the success of a free online game that's primary purpose was as a marketing tool for a different game?

Well, if you remember they had a survey asking if people would spend money on more like it. It's possible a lot of respondents said "no." I thought it was a fairly fun game that emulated a lot of ideas from HoMM and needed to emulate a few more for me to spend any money on it.

I really should have checked the Dragfon Age wikia first and not just wikipedia:

""Chapters 2 and 3 will be released in the coming months and will include premium content you can purchase.""

Yay!:o

Dores this mean that the game itself will be free? What is the "premium content" you will have to buy?

And screens:

I kind of wish that they would just go ahead and make Journeys a full fledged game, either for download or mobile devices. The lack of announcement since it was going to be a paid flash game per say is disappointing.

Maybe thats what they are doing? Or maybe they are converting it to consoles. Ore maybve they are making a bether version of the first chapter also? Who knows.

But I think the next chapter has good potensial. One of the problems with the first chapter was that they clearly had little info about Dragon Age to work from. Lots of misstakes with fact and lore that sometimes made it not even feal like Dragon Age. But this time they have had the chance to play the main game itself and the result can be lots of conections to the storys of DAO. And maybe we will finaly find out when DAJ takes place.

Add me as someone that very much enjoyed Dragon Age: Journeys for what it was. Especially as something to pass the time prior to DAO's release, along with some nice goody incentives. I was quite fond of my compatriots. :)

Actually the initial version of DAJ was quite long. It took me like 2 hours to complete it. And saying that it's a free game, it's quite a lot.

And besides there seems to be a cool story behind it.

Even more so, it's like 10 times more tactical than Dragon Age Origins was on Nightmare.
