Hey guys, are there any projects out there who would like some level files I'm no longer using? Basically I'm putting one of my DA projects of hold and don't know if I'll come back to it, my interest has moved away from wanting to write and script a full module. Instead of having the files gathering dust on my hard drive I thought I'd offer them up to the community.

The files:
Denerim Exterior Area - I wanted to make an alchemy shop and it didn't really make sense adding it to the existing areas in Denerim because most of the buildings are wooden. Alchemy = fire = bye bye marked district. So I made a new exterior area. The design I went with was an old estate which had been sold off in pieces and purchased by rich merchants, stone buildings would be expensive in a DA style universe so this seemed to be a realistic way of having a shop made from stone. This area needs a bit of finishing off which I'd be happy to do if someone wanted to use it. (No screenshots of this one until I've changed something that I just noticed... I'll put some up soon).

Alchemy Shop Interior:
The inside of an alchemy shop, simple layout with a front room and a back room. Space for three NPCs to be working away at various things. It's got a nice calm, dusty, library feeling going on.

Alchemy Shop Cellar:
Cellar with cages, dissection room and evil study room. Has a nice creepy contrast with the shop interior. Might be too dark in places but the lighting is all there it just needs the values tweaking. It's too small to use as a dungeon, I was originally going to put a portal into the fade here (hence the crazy sky in the pictures) but it would also do for a mini boss or something.

I'd be happy to make some small edits / finalizing if they were going to be used.

Would you consider releasing the source .lvl files to the community? There are almost no levels in the public domain right now (we're talking like two). I'm sure anyone using your levels in a mod would credit you as level designer -- if not they'd face the wrath of the community. We really need more shared resources as a community.

Your levels look well designed, and I think at this point you'd be putting out the best original levels the community has seen, which could earn you no small amount of glory with builders :)

Anyway, just a suggestion. I'm going to be releasing my own level files when I have them done, hopefully a few in a little over a month, so maybe I shouldn't be suggesting that you beat me to the punch here. :-D

Absolutely, public art assets would be a blessing for modders like myself who can script and design encounters but fail miserably at anything visual :)

It's great to see you guys willing to share.

Thanks for mentioning Open House.

Our advice is to publish open content on BSN projects then announce it in this forum.

We are building a very simple index to BSN projects, to make it more useful. That will probably be available next month.

Our longer-term strategy involves more community improvements to BSN.

Let's put some of the magic back into modding.
