Silverite Mines missing equipment bug still present in 1.04

I started a new game by importing my Warden from Origins, and played through the game with only one minor issue (Oghren's personal gifts giving +6 approval instead of +10 with diminishing returns). Upon reaching the Silverite Mines, my character woke up without any clothes on, and only three Experimental Subjects spawned in the Mines. Reloading a save from before entering the Mines does not fix the bug for me.
What is interesting is that this same character, imported during 1.03, did not experience this problem, but did in 1.04. This leads me to believe that the bug is influenced by choices made in Awakening.
Another bug with the Silverite Mines remains: it is possible to leave the Wending Wood before entering the Silverite Mines. This allows you to change party members and remove Velanna, and causes her to be re-added upon entering the Mines, giving the player a five-person party. The loss of the player's equipment could also possibly be related to leaving the Wending Wood before entering the Silverite Mines.

I'm going to be civil here, and give you a warning. I'm taking time out of my schedule and other work priorities to wade through ye olde forums to try and help people, as well as collect information so I can pass things along to the other nice devs that fix things. I like to think I have a great deal of tolerance and patience, but that doesn't mean said qualities are infinite.
So in short, sass away if you wish. Just don't be surprised if it results in a banhammer all up in yo' grill.

In fact this is a bare-bones STEAM install on a system where I just reformatted the HDDs here a week ago.

I did not enter the mines until after the encounter with Velanna was resolved.
The 4th experiment was just not there, and the chest was empty.

Nope, no changes on the base retail game save for official DLC (several promotional items, Warden's Keep, The Stone Prisoner and Return to Ostagar), a retail copy of Awakening, and the 1.04 patch.Nathan Willis wrote...
Thanks for the information guys. It's concerning to know this is still happening... I'm passing it along. Out of curiosity, are you using any third party mods? If so, have you tried the encounter sans mods?
edit: for clarity.
When the bug initially occurred, not only did the last Experimental Subject not spawn, but I had all my items left in my inventory as well, and the chest that was supposed to contain them (at the end of the Mines) was empty.
I used a work-around for the bug, which was to remove all of my character's items from his body before entering the Silverite Mines. The last Experimental Subject still didn't spawn, but the items were removed from my inventory properly, and were all in the chest at the end of the Mines.
Thanks very much for your help, Nathan. I appreciate your support for us, and it's good to know that there's someone reading.

Why should i be reprimanded for something that has been clearly indicated by Victor as not fixed at this time?
Someone comes along opens yet another thread about this situation and someone at Bioware seems surprised at this being a problem? i just dont get it...sorry if i sounded sassy....
The workaround at this has been explained also. Now if Bioware would fix the quest bugs everyone would be all set and no one would throw tantrums.

solutions are here, it seems that the bugs only trigger under a few conditions.

It's unfortunate that this could not have been fixed because this has made an otherwise awesome RPG.. a lot less awesome.

I came across this thread while looking for a solution to the faulty product i bought and you are being completely unfair threatening BrunoB1971 like that, he has a right to be upset that a product that he has bought from your company is not working correctly. If this was anywhere but the internet, you should be reprimanded for speaking to a paying customer like that.

Yes, as long any character is triggering the conditions the bug will occur.

Anyway the solution was to reload from the beginning and enter the mines naked. Which I understand helps in some cases, at least it worked for me. But I found this solution not too much to my liking.

"Still happening..." This wasn't addressed in the 1.04 udpate according to the patch notes. No Bioware employee has ever indicated on these boards that this issue was going to be addressed in the 1.04 patch - or even that it was occurring at all. Why is it surprising that it is "still happening?"
I understand the anger directed at Nathan Willis - this is borne of frustration. Bioware has not provided an adequate level of communication with its community and this is seen as the reason for the poor quality of support for its product. This should be well understood by any Bioware employee who wades into these issues. I applaud Nathan Willis' desire to help people in these forums, but it will take someone with a thicker skin to deflect this frustration in order to actually pursue these issues and get them addressed. Not recognizing this fact and resorting to threats simply shows the ignorance and arrogance of the game developer that Bioware has become.

Now the "solution" is to reload a save before entering the mines. Thats over 2 hours of gameplay and carefull configuration of my new group member's skills, hotbar and tactics. Either that or resort to console commands which I purposely avoided doing. What a pain. And I was only barely interested in this expansion its really not worth it. I seriously do not want to play anymore. How do I get my money back for a broken product.
Whatever I'm done with bioware, I'm done with EA. Mass Effect 2 was a bore and I can't see sequals to ME2 and DA as being very good either. Battlefield series from 1942 is plagued with bugs, crashes and cheaters and EA does nothing. I have given both these companies literally hundreds of dollars and their software is ALWAYS frustrating. **** it

1. I performed a save before going thru the Silverite Mines door.
2. I checked that no NPC is wearing DLC-specific items (except Awakening ones), name-restricted items or arcane warrior-restricted items, according to the posts I have read about Silverite Mines issues on this forum.
3. (optional) As I was using No Helmet Hack mod, I re-enabled helmet display on all characters using the tome in inventory. I then performed a new save, exit to main menu, disabled No Helmet mod (both version, Origins and Awakening), force load the previous save then performed a new save.
4. I stripped my main character of all equipement.
5. I went thru the Silverite Mines door.
After the cut-scene, my team woke up in jail and all their equipment have been removed, except for standard clothings.
Important: If your main character still have some equipment on him/her or if there is some items in the inventory at this stage, this means that you forgot to remove an item that will cause issues.
During the Silverite Mines crossing, I found three experimental subjects wearing the equipement of my teammates but the fourth one (which looks like you) had no equipment. Its body, unlike those of other ennemies, was not removed but it cannot be selected. So, at first, I thought that all my equipment have disappeared. I decided to continue playing anyway.
Now for the good news: all my equipment (and the rest of the inventory) was stored in the chest near the merchant met before the final Silverite Mines room.
