I don't think that people stop being themselves just because they become some "Wardens", grey or purple. What if Jory passed the test? Something tells me that Warden or not, he would have preferred the DR to sacrifice. And how many "Jories" in the Warden ranks are out there?

The last moment proposal bugged me too. Moreover, Morrigan declared her friendship and blah-blah-blah... The only reason why she would withhold info is probably because she distrusted her companions' feelings about such a ritual...
