So, which stories do you want to play out in a game in the future of Dragon Age?
I want:
The First Blight (that would be epic, a game that spans over 200 years).
The war against the Qunari invaders during the Steel and Storm ages.

The next Qunari invasion.
That would be nice too. As long as we get to see some naval combat.

The greatest thing about Dragon Age is as Greg Zeschuk said: "the exciting thing about Dragon Age is that it's a world where you could set literally thousands of stories". It was always obvious to me that we wouldn't go on playing as the Warden.

You are forgetting that Dragon age has Dragon written in it for a reason. It is only a 100 years of timeperiod that it encompasses. They would perhaps have to call it by some different name... Like Towers age or Dark Age.

They could do that, while always retaining a Dragon Age subtitle or something. Or they could simply call all gamed Dragon Age, even if they don't take place during the Dragon Age.

I would generally prefer going forward in time rather than back and playing in a prequel. All sorts of good stuff has been hinted at. Qunari inasion as mentioned, next war between Orlais and Ferelden, mages vs templars, anvil of void, god-child and/or Flemeth, elves rebel etc. And that's without introducing anything new.
I second this.

Well... If Kirkwall reminds me of anything in the real world, it would be like controlling Gibraltar. Except instead of controlling the entrance to the Mediterreanean Sea, Kirkwall controls the entrance to the Waking Sea, which has large ramifications for any naval actions in the Waking Sea. So DA2 might have some interesting aspects if another game centers around a Qunari invasion.

David has said explicitly that they could eventually make Dragon Age games that are not set during the Dragon Age.SirShreK wrote...

That's great. There is so much lore that can become potential awesome games.
