So I'm attempting to do my own Texmods. Specifically, giving my Shepard some cooler looking facial hair (and also because I was sucky in character creation and gave him a pencil thin moustache so anything heavier than light stubble makes him look silly). I've been playing with the actual facial skin texture in Photoshop and applying the beard to that rather than messing with the normal mapped facial hair texture that gets applied seperately and it looks fine, but when I've been messing with the face texture, there's a notable mark around his face where the face meets the hair texture as if I've lightened the colour of the forehead. Which I haven't; aside from the addition of Sheploo's beard-stubble, it's an exact duplicate of the one I ripped out of the game with TexMod.

As you can see, the facial texture is way shinier than it should be which is confusing since I'm only editing one texture and I went to extra lengths to ensure the ONLY difference is a painted on beard. Anyone got any idea what's going on?
