We just rolled back the Xbox 360 patch 1.04 so that we could address issues that appeared on some Xbox 360 models. You will be prompted to download this update the next time you start Dragon Age: Origins while connected to Xbox Live. We'll keep you updated on status on the fix and a date for the re-release of this patch.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. If you continue to experience issues with this patch, please let us know!

Note: It seems that some games saved under yesterdays patch are incompatible with this update. To play Dragon Age: Origins, you will need to start from a game saved before yesterday's update.

It may be necessary to clear the system cache after the update. To do this, please follow the instructions below.

From the main Xbox360 dashboard:

1)    Under the My Xbox heading, scroll all the way to the right to access your System Settings.
2)    Select Memory from the System Settings menu
3)    Highlight your main storage device (the one that is used for your Dragon Age: Origins/Awakening data)
4)    Press Y to access the Device Options sub-menu
5)    Select Clear System Cache from the Device Options sub-menu, and select yes to confirm that you wish to clear the system cache

Once that is complete, when loading up Dragon Age: Origins the system will prompt you to re-download the latest update and you should be able to do so and resume playing the game without issue.

In the rare event that after performing these actions you receive an error message stating that your Downloadable Content is corrupt, then follow steps 1-3 above and then proceed to do the following:

4)    Select the Games folder, and then select the Dragon Age: Origins folder while browsing your main storage device
5)    Select and delete your Downloadable Content entries (subtitled with “Marketplace Content” in the menu)

Please note that once you do this you must re-download your Downloadable Content files, however, your save games should remain unaffected.

We're still working with MS on this - but we believe we're very close now. I hope to have more news tomorrow (err today - wed local time).
