And for another update, we've heard from Microsoft that the new version of the patch has passed certification and we believe that the issue affecting certain console models has been resolved. We're scheduling its release and I hope to let you know today or tomorrow when to expect it.

Yeah I just downloaded an update and was on Dragon yesterday so its definitely new. But is there any way to check to see if its 1.04?

It is. I started Awakening and got my Letter from Leliana, an originally intended aspect of the game that wasn't available till the 1.04 patch, at least according to the notes. Enjoy everyone.

I'm a bit confused, is the fixed patch out now? The original 1.04 worked for me so I've been avoiding the update because of the rollback, can anyone confirm that the patch has been re-released?

From what I can see, yes the fixed patch is out. All we need is someone who couldn't get 1.04 to work before on their newer XBOXs to tell us that it now works for them now to pretty much seal the deal. BW itself has said nothing official yet from what I can tell.

My update came through yesterday and I've got the new Xbox.
I've not long started and all seems fine (no crashes etc). I still get odd happenings during the dialogue scenes but not sure if this is normal to the game.

I got the 360 slim.

-the first 1.04 patch: Crash when loading / starting new games.
-Roll back to 1.03 patch: Worked.
-New patch yesterday, which must be the 1.04 (August 4th): played Leliana's Song without any crash.

Good to know, but I'll reinstall DAO sometime next year... after so many months of bugs, I uninstalled DAO and Awakenings so I can install, Alpha Protocol and Civ Revolution , since many good games are coming in this last quarter (FO New Vegas, Fable 3, Deus Ex, etc). I doubt I'll play DAO for the rest of the year... anyhow, thank you Bioware.
